Our legal system invites lawyers to act like bullies. Only in America can I sue you for dubious reasons, force you to spend thousands of dollars on lawyers (not to mention the psychic costs -- the anxiety and lost sleep that lawsuits create), and when a judge rules that my claim is bunk, I don't even have to say "sorry." I can blithely move on to sue someone else. In other countries, I would have to pay your legal fees to at least compensate you for some of the financial damage I caused. Many thanks to David Williams and other Kentucky state legislators who have steadfastly held the line and refused to increase taxes on hard-working Kentuckians.  They understand that government is a hungry creature that is never satisfied no matter how much money it takes from us in taxes.  There is always another “good program” the state would like to fund out of our pockets.  But how about having a program for respecting the hard-working, productive people who make all those “good programs” possible?           (click to read more)

And after some of the treasonous acts he has committed after he left office. Grover Cleveland vetoed hundreds of spending measures during his two-term presidency, often saying, "I can find no warrant for such an appropriation in the Constitution."
