The Virtues of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide
The Earth’s atmosphere and surface are warmed by solar radiation; the greenhouse effect – primarily caused by atmospheric water vapor; and other less-understood phenomena. Carbon dioxide and methane are also greenhouse gases, but their physical properties render their greenhouse effects very weak. Neither warms the Earth significantly, and no greenhouse warming caused by these two substances has ever been unequivocally observed. The warming and cooling of the Earth is correlated most closely with fluctuations in solar activity and is entirely uncorrelated with human hydrocarbon use.......

Sex scandal at the New York Times – Dinesh D’Souza  Some critics have been calling for Keller to be fired but I suspect that a much wider fumigation is required to clean house over there. The Times has long become a liberal rag and as incidents like these pile up, more and more people will recognize that the New York Times is no longer the great newspaper it once was. http://townhall.com/columnists/DineshDSouza/2008/02/25/sex_scandal_at_the_new_york_times

The great divide politically speaking – Burt Prelutsky Liberals also suffer from the delusion that a modicum of talent trumps kindness, honesty and decency.  http://townhall.com/columnists/BurtPrelutsky/2008/02/25/the_great_divide,_politically_speaking

A Tribute to my Dad -- by Pastor Chuck Baldwin
The day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, my dad and his two brothers, Bud and Gene, marched down to the recruiter's office to sign up. Bud joined the Navy and served with distinction throughout the war. Gene joined the Marines and was wounded in the Pacific. However, when military officials saw Dad's credentials (he was a master welder), they told him they wanted him to serve his country in another capacity. Subsequently, my father was selected to help construct the Atomic Bomb.......

New York Times Discredits Itself – Thomas Sowell  Nothing is easier than to have suspicions. In my younger years, I was suspected of having an affair with more than one attractive woman when -- alas -- there was nothing happening. http://townhall.com/columnists/ThomasSowell/2008/02/26/bad_times

VIDEO: Where's the Warming?

CEI’s latest online video spot, Where’s the Warming?, challenges global warming alarmists to justify their calls for restrictions on energy use. Carbon dioxide from man's energy use has continued to increase in the atmosphere in recent years, but recent studies show that average global temperatures have not.

Stay Poor
by William Yeatman

It’s bad enough when European and American politicians desperate to “do something” about global warming appear willing to sacrifice economic growth in their own countries. Now they are ready forsake the world’s poorest citizens, too.

“Privacy” Shouldn’t Be Taken to An Extreme
by Hans Bader

“Privacy deserves protection, but not to an extreme — particularly when it comes at the expense of civil liberties, public safety, and the rights of other citizens. Creating new privacy rights often comes at a cost. A mental patient stabbed a doctor in New York yesterday, but police were delayed in locating the culprit.”

America: Still the Land of Opportunity
by Hans Bader

”’In a test of the American Dream, Adam Shepard started life from scratch with the clothes on his back and twenty-five dollars. Ten months later, he had an apartment, a car, and a small savings.’”
