You Be The Judge By Theresa Camoriano
Martin Luther King, Jr. said we should judge people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character – it should be noted that he said we should judge people. Unfortunately, the “diversity” curricula that have been used in our schools teach our children that all cultures, all people, and all traditions are equal and should not be judged. What a disastrous thing to teach!
While it is great to teach our children to treat other people with respect, we are in trouble when we teach them that anything goes and that they should tolerate aggression and abuse of other people, which is what has happened as a result of this “diversity” training.
After the mall killings in Omaha, Dennis Prager replayed an interview of a friend of the killer, who said he did not think any less of his friend because of what he did. Dennis wondered what, if anything, his friend could have done that would have made him think less of him – if murdering several people was not enough, apparently nothing would be. But that’s exactly what “diversity” training teaches.
Of course, if all cultures are equally good, then abuse of women and “honor killings” among Muslims also should be tolerated, since that is part of their culture.
This “diversity” approach ignores or even ridicules what is taught in the Bible as being good or bad and right or wrong.
While the “diversity” folks ridicule the Judeo-Christian notions of right and wrong, good and evil, they do not exactly say that our children should not judge any behavior. Instead, they teach the children to hate people who smoke and people who drive large vehicles that make a large “carbon footprint”. Nothing like having your priorities straight!
