I received a very interesting email today from Americans For Legal Immigration
(http://www.alipac.us/index.html), which shows that an overwhelming majority of
Americans DO NOT support what the majority of elected officials are trying to
shove down the taxpayer’s throat…benefits for illegal immigrants.
As a man who has gone to Cochise County, AZ and patrolled the border with Chris
Simcox (co-founder of the Minutemen), I know first-hand what the real deal is
there. These are not people who are coming across the border because they love
America and want to assimilate into American society. Some are, I am sure. But I
am equally sure that many of them are coming for a host of other reasons: a free
ride, better medical care, drug smuggling, and other nefarious activities.
Our “public servants” would have you believe that these are honest hardworking
people coming here to do jobs that no American would stoop so low to do. I have
two letters to sum up my opinion on that--B.S.. I know that, as a kid, I used to
cut grass for money, I worked an assembly line at the age of 14, had a newspaper
route, flipped burgers, you name it. The problem is not that Americans won’t do
the work; it is that the Americans won’t do the work for $5.00 per hour.
At any rate, the email I received had some pretty interesting polling
statistics. They cite a survey by the American Pulse ™ which shows that of 4,069
respondents, 81.7% oppose giving a driver’s license to illegals, 89.3% opposed
giving them a business license, 82.8% opposed giving them housing assistance,
educational benefits were opposed by 76.7%, and 73.7% opposed job training for
illegals.
These are very compelling numbers, folks. When we are talking about percentages
that are in the 70’s and 80’s, and we still have politicians giving these
benefits away to illegals, then you know that your elected ‘representatives’ are
NOT representing you. They are self-righteous, self-serving, pandering idiots
who feel it necessary to placate certain special interest groups for their own
glorification and/or gratification.
It’s high time we put an end to this foolishness. I mean we have entire states
allowing illegals to not only go to college, but to do it at the reduced
in-state cost! We have cities, such as Mayor Giuliani’s beloved New York which
have been “sanctuary cities,” so if an illegal is arrested for, say, burglary,
nobody is allowed to inform the feds. And there are untold numbers of hospitals
along our border with Mexico which are closing up shop because they can’t get
paid for the services they are REQUIRED BY LAW to provide to illegals.
I am including a copy of the email I received, as it has some good suggestions
on what we, the American people, can do to turn the tide. It reads as follows:

cannot rely on the Main Stream Media to do this for you.

Many of you will remember when new polling data came out twice during our

Number 5 is the most important and will take you some time. It takes legwork to
locate the website for your state assemblies and painstakingly go through the
site sending emails to each lawmaker, BUT THIS IS WORTH IT!
This poll absolutely destroys the positions of any illegal immigration
supporting lawmaker or reporter.
This poll will energize Americans that share our views while demoralizing the
opposition.
This poll, properly deployed, can help in the battles against licenses and
benefits for illegal aliens that is raging in many states.
