John Dewey and the chaos of contemporary education http://grasstopsusa.com/gs091607.html
Mugged by reality – Thomas Sowell Agresto is not out to prove some theory or push some pet scheme but to convey what he saw with his own eyes and discerned from his own experiences with both Iraqis and Americans in Iraq. http://townhall.com/columnists/ThomasSowell/2007/09/18/mugged_by_reality
The liberal temptation - Liberals are happy to give money to this, that, and the other cause, as long as it is other people's money. http://www.visandvals.org/The_Liberal_Temptation.php

The Law: An Arresting Tale – Ed Feulner Too many Americans are being treated as criminals by an out-of-control criminal justice system that is abandoning the rule of reason. Justice demands we change that. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/EdFeulner/2007/09/19/the_law_an_arresting_tale
Chavez vows to close or take over private schools refusing government oversight http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/09/17/america/LA-GEN-Venezuela-Ideological-Education.php Socialized medicine is broken and can’t be fixed – John Stossel http://www.townhall.com/columnists/JohnStossel/2007/09/19/socialized_medicine_is_broken_and_cant_be_fixed
Economics vs. Politics – (Gasoline prices) The pols may be wrong again and again, year after year, but think of the advantages. They're able to strike while public anger is at its zenith, appease their louder and less thoughtful constituents, and they never have to say they're sorry by the time gas prices fall and the public's interest in the subject has waned. (Somehow they never get around to demanding a probe when gas prices go down.)…The price of gasoline may rise and fall and rise again, like that of any other commodity, but the market for demagoguery remains remarkably stable. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/PaulGreenberg/2007/09/17/economics_vs_politics The Bin Laden Book Club In his latest video he says that there is a twofold solution to defeating Bush's war on terror. "The first is from our side...and the second is from your side." The first part lies with his jihadists, who he says are doing their part to create the terror. The second part lies with the American left, which is expected to use the terror to demoralize the American people and urge them to retreat. Evidently Bin Laden is trying to sway American public opinion by mouthing the arguments of the American left--including calls for campaign finance reform!--and he is also counting on leftists like Moore and Chomsky to convince the American people to cut and run from Iraq and give up on Bush's war on terror. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/DineshDSouza/2007/09/17/the_bin_laden_book_club
Are happy days here again? (Fed rate cut) What the Federal Reserve is doing right now, in its effort to keeping the good times rollin,’ is setting in motion the next inflationary boom/bust cycle. New money created by the Fed will be poured into the next big thing, and many of the investments will prove to be unwise. People will go bankrupt, and the Federal Reserve will assert itself as the national economic protector once again, never willing to admit that it is the source of the mess in the first place. http://www.visandvals.org/Are_Happy_Days_Here_Again.php
Stupid, Ignorant or Biased? – Walter Williams By any measure of well-being, Americans at the start of this century are far better off than Americans at the beginning of the last century. Perennial doom-and-gloom predictions about resource depletion, overpopulation and environmental quality are exaggerated and often the opposite of the truth. Preaching doom and gloom has been beneficial to the political class. They use it to gain more power and control. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/WalterEWilliams/2007/09/19/stupid,_ignorant_or_biased
Mugged by reality – Thomas Sowell What recent progress has been made in Iraq has apparently been made by mobilizing traditional local and regional Iraqi leaders and coalitions, not by relying on the democratically elected central government. There may be a lesson there. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/ThomasSowell/2007/09/19/mugged_by_reality_part_ii

The secret North American sellout = Joseph Farah If these folks think we'll just leave them alone to conspire in secret about matters of public interest in this country, they have another think coming. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=57736
Global capitalism saves the children – Rich Lowry When a goateed anarcho-syndicalist commits an act of vandalism at an anti-globalization protest, he might think that he's striking a blow against The Man, but he's really rallying against the chance some desperately poor little boy or girl has to live a healthier life. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/RichLowry/2007/09/20/global_capitalism_saves_the_children
