Removing partisan politics from the

Office of Kentucky’s Attorney General

By: Stan Lee, Republican Nominee for Attorney General

For far too long, the Office of Attorney General has been plagued by partisan politics and has failed to solve everyday problems.  We have seen political posturing, maneuvering, and a greater concern placed on future campaigns than on Kentucky’s future.

As Kentucky’s next Attorney General, I will restore integrity to the Office and will work to move this state forward on a multitude of important issues.  Kentuckians deserve more from this Office, and I will work diligently to restore confidence by solving real problems.  No longer should this Office be used as a political launching pad for politicians to manipulate the public in an effort to launch campaigns for future offices.  Kentuckians understand that we have serious problems that must be tackled, and I believe my candidacy provides the best chance to solve the ills that weigh us down.

As Attorney General, I will tackle the scourge of drugs in our communities, the increased threat posed by sexual predators who prey on our children, the spike in internet crimes, and identity theft.  I want to better coordinate with our local prosecutors and law enforcement personnel to ensure that we best protect our communities from the destruction that follows with the illegal use of drugs.  I will also work to better fund our local prosecutors and law enforcement, who are often out-manned and out-gunned, sometimes with deadly consequences.

Talk is cheap however, and needs to be followed by action.  That’s why as Attorney General I will place an emphasis on following the law, carrying it out as written and bringing bipartisanship to an office that has been plagued by one-sided politics.  I pledge that the office will reflect the makeup of Kentucky – men and women of strong character, from the Western parts of our Commonwealth, to the Eastern.  From the far reaches of Northern Kentucky to the communities in the south and everywhere in between, I will hire individuals that represent the best we have to offer.

When we reflect the character of Kentucky in our government, great things can happen and that’s what I pledge to do as our next Attorney General.
