The Tawdry Illusion of Progress

By Jeff “Mario” Smith, Guerilla Reporter

See the article [propaganda] below.

Bush recently met with four Viet Nam democracy advocates in Washington.  One, out of over 500 political prisoners, was released.  Wow, NOT!  Here is the little-publicized undercurrent.  If Washington and the State Dept. were truly upset about Hanoi's oppressive government, about the decimation of Hmong, Khmer Krom, Montagnards, [AKA Ethnic Cleansing] about the jailing of dissidents, it would have the EXIM bank delay further dealings with Hanoi.

This is very easy to do and effective.

So… this shows the Bush stance and that meeting with democracy advocates is a charade, a ballet of political posturing with sole intent to diffuse criticism rather than improve conditions in Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia.

All the while, and through all past administrations since Eisenhower, our POWs and MIAs are abandoned to an atheist communist power with not even an illusion of an attempt to do anything about it, unless you count the bones our leaders allow Hanoi to very slowly sell to us over a period of more than 30 years. No live sighting reports have ever had the priority they deserve. Ask yourself why?
