Court dumps D.C. gun ban The majority opinion in the 2-1 decision said activities protected by the Second Amendment "are not limited to militia service, nor is an individual's enjoyment of the right contingent upon his or her continued intermittent enrollment in the militia." The judges also ruled unconstitutional the city's requirement that registered firearms be kept unloaded, disassembled and under trigger lock. http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54627 The tyranny of tolerance – Larry Pratt [S]itting state judge Robert H. Dierker, Jr. of the 22nd Judicial District of Missouri has written a book laying out exactly how extensive is the coup d'etat being carried out by the nation’s judicial class….A judge telling the truth! What is the world coming to? http://www.newswithviews.com/Pratt/larry74.htm
Regrets for slavery – Walter Williams My great-grandparents were slaves in the Virginia cities of Chase City and Newport News. The General Assembly's statement of regret for slavery means absolutely nothing to me. …The next time the Virginia General Assembly gets into an apologetic mood and wants to pass another resolution aimed at its black citizens, here are my suggestions: The Commonwealth of Virginia apologizes to its black citizens for not protecting them from criminals who prey upon them and make their lives a daily nightmare. The Commonwealth also apologizes for our government-sanctioned school system that delivers fraudulent education, thereby consigning many of its black citizens to the bottom rungs of the economic ladder. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/WalterEWilliams/2007/03/07/regrets_for_slavery
Exposing the secret agenda behind the global warming hysteria - As "Deep Throat" famously told Washington Post "Watergate" reporter Bob Woodward, "Follow the money." … while scientists and climatologists who dare to question the rigid orthodoxy of man-made catastrophic global warming are openly ridiculed and threatened with decertification, the movement for global governance, complete with global taxation, is moving into the fast lane….Believe it or not, over the last century America's major media have predicted an impending global climate crisis four different times – each prediction warning that entire countries would be wiped out or that lower crop yields would mean "billions will die." http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54483

Newsweek’s Lorraine Ali – Dennis Prager Newsweek may have hired an Islamist fellow traveler to cover these issues, just as in the Stalin era, Western media had some leftist fellow travelers on their staffs. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/DennisPrager/2007/03/06/newsweeks_lorraine_ali_and_the_ghost_of_walter_duranty
What more do you people want? (Rush Limbaugh) "What are the liberals committed to?" Limbaugh asked. "They are committed to power over people. They are committed to running people's lives. They are committed to the assumption that people are incompetent, and they are committed to controlling government to run people's lives. Conservatives are not. Conservatives do not think government should run people. Government should get out of the way as much as possible. So for conservatives to battle libs for the government is already a bit a contradiction. When conservatives get hold of the government, the idea is to slow it down."http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54600

That’s not nice – Peggy Noonan I think that as America has grown more academic or aware of education, the wisdom of Grandma has been denigrated. Or ignored. http://www.opinionjournal.com/columnists/pnoonan/
