Response to Don Heavrin’s Mid-October Observations

As anti-war people always do, Don Heavrin exploits the heart-wrenching deaths of, this time, seventeen of our military who went into harm’s way so that we can have the freedom we have to spout our opinions on this website as well as anywhere else we wish. His article of myths and untruths reminded me of Cindy Sheehan stepping all over her son’s sacrifice, a sacrifice Casey Sheehan believed in, in order to spout her liberal rhetoric and rub elbows with the leading leftists in the world.

Heavrin writes in the October 30^th Jefferson Review that the perpetrators of unrest in Iraq are using the “the weapons we provided”. I find that statement quite naïve. I don’t recall the last time America provided Kalashnikovs, Chinese and Russian made RPG’s, AK47 non-NATO ammunition, and an array of other Russian, Chinese, and French made weapons to anyone. See this article. This is yet another myth that the left likes to spout, not even taking the time to “read or think” as Heavrin said about those voting in the mid-term elections.

I have pictures from my son who served in Iraq in 2003 attached to the 101^st Airborne up in Mosul and Tikrit. These pictures show an array of communist weapons, ammunition, and bombs that could supply our own military, or any military that dwarfs that of Hussein’s storm troopers, for years. Saddam Hussein had the largest ASPs in the world, larger than Russia, China, Great Britain, or even the United States, larger than anywhere in the world. To the un-initiated, ASPs are Ammo Supply Points and Hussein had the largest ones ever known to man; this from a man who was allegedly “not a threat” according to the anti-war crowd. Mr. Heavrin is welcome to see these pictures anytime he wishes to contact me.

So, for you who are thinking along the lines of conspiracy theory, what happened to those weapons and ammo? The mission of my son’s unit, in fact their largest and longest mission of the entire one year tour in that 7^th century country, was to capture and destroy those munitions. I have several showing the plastic explosives applied and others showing the actual explosions. That’s right; those munitions were destroyed en masse by our brave young men who served in those combat arms units tasked with that mission.

While keeping an enemy at bay and defeating them everywhere we met them, our military at the same time sought out weapons and ammunition supply points and confiscated and destroyed everything they found. They are still finding it today, years later. The anti-gunners of the left should love our military for that action, but they are partisans like everyone else who takes these foolish and naïve positions.

Heavrin also disparages the Domino Theory of communist aggression, totally ignoring the known plans, doctrines, and words of the very communists we were fighting in Vietnam as well as those who supported them. It appears it is Heavrin who did not “read or think”. The North Vietnamese communists were receiving help in the war from Russia, China, Cuba, Czechoslovakia and North Korea among others. The communists knew how important the Vietnam War was to their plans for world domination of communism, and at the same time they had the anti-war crowd in America actively assisting them in this endeavor to take over Southeast Asia. Our “enemy within” won it for them in fact. Note that Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia are all living under the hell of communism today.

After Vietnam was handed over to the communists on a silver platter provided by anti-war peace hippies in America in collusion with people like John Ho Chi Kerry and the anti-American liberal media, death, destruction, and the slavery of communism became the misfortune for millions. Hundreds of thousands were slaughtered and many were placed into concentration camps, er, uh, re-education camps that still operate there today. Remember the boat people who fought so bravely to escape in cardboard boats? I love to hear the peace hippies respond to that truth, but alas they cannot. They snivel and wiggle away knowing in their hearts that the blood of millions is on their hands. They can snivel to the Lord on their knees; I don’t want to hear it.

I don’t recall anyone suggesting that if we lost in Vietnam the communists would soon take over Canada, the land of socialism (communism-lite), as Heavrin states. However, our fears came true as all of Southeast Asia came under the torture of communism when we departed and weakly turned our backs on our friends who only wanted freedom and to be left alone. Thanks, liberals. That action has caused other rogues to feel empowered to come after us. Witness what it happening with the violent islamo-fascists today. Thanks also for your inaction Bill “That depends on what the meaning of the word is is” Klinton!

Typical of leftists, Heavrin blames America for all the fighting and death occurring in Middle East, totally ignoring the hell these people were living in before we toppled Saddam and his murderous thugs. Also ignored is all the evidence of weapons of mass destruction and the fact that Hussein and company were indeed working towards a nuclear weapon. Conveniently ignored also is that islam has been at war with the rest of the world since its inception by a murderous child molester they call their prophet. Those who parrot the mainstream media love to ignore facts, for if they acknowledged facts, they would have to admit they were wrong and change their positions.

Leftists always whine, “why don’t we go after North Korea then, or Iran?” Listen up, oh sheeple who suckle at the sow of misinformation and omission (MSM). We have to take on the most dangerous threats first. We cannot go after every single evil in the world at the same time, especially since short-sighted and naïve liberals have decimated the ranks of our military, our weaponry, and neutered several of our best programs.

Speaking to the madness of liberals, or the mental disorder of liberalism as Dr. Michael Savage so aptly calls it, how interesting it is to note here that under the leadership of the Bush administration, we are finally getting DDT back into Africa after decades of destruction caused by liberals removing it from the market to save a few birds while millions of “people of color” in Africa have died from disease. Again, more blood on the hands of liberals. Wait a minute, I thought the liberals and their talking heads were all about saving people, you know, the little guy. Think again oh sheeple; your shepherds (the MSM) are partisan power mongers and liars.

One thing that Heavrin states deserves note, and that is that neither party can protect us from evil. On that we agree. Political parties have unconstitutionally removed our representative government and replaced it with party government, and both parties are corrupt and no longer represent our best interests. The fact that the republicrats are not as bad as the demonrats is scant reason to have hope as the spanking the republicrats are about to receive will show. True conservatives have had enough of being the mistresses of the republicrats who remain loyal to the party over their constituents, even when the party becomes mostly liberal as it now has.

Witnessing Heavrin sign off his article as the “servant of truth in the garden of life” was too much to take after regurgitating his misinformation, myth, and mainstream media talking points. “Analytical thinking has gone out the window, and the entire world works on fear and sound bites” says Heavrin. I would opine that is a good description of his article.
