How Legalizing drugs will decrease crime, and keep drugs out of the hands of children
Donna Mancini

When I advocate the legalization of drugs, I am not advocating drug usage!

Currently, drugs are readily available to children... Why? They Are Illegal!

Legalization puts drugs in the drugstores, like tobacco and alcohol, and out of the reach of children.  When a product is illegal, its sale goes underground, and, because of the  huge profit motive, Pushers get  young kids hooked in schoolyards. The drug war has been going on for nearly 30 years and the drug warriors have spent billions of tax-dollars, confiscated property, imprisoned millions and killed many others, and people still take drugs!  The forbidden fruit is always the sweetest, and kids almost always do what adults tell them NOT to do. That is Life 101!

Marijuana has never killed anyone, and there is no case of overdose.  It has many safe and well-documented medical purposes.  Why should drinking be accepted and marijuana is not?

I advocate small government and personal choice because we own ourselves and have the natural right to the control of our own person and the fruits of our labor. To say otherwise would make us a slave.

A peaceful person or group of persons, who is in the privacy of his own home, enjoying himself in any way he sees fit with his honestly earned money is bothering no one.  He deserves to be left alone. He deserves to be free.  Any human being who commits a crime against another person, who uses force or fraud, should be punished regardless of his "drug" usage.   People need to stop blaming inanimate objects, substances, and perceived past injustices for their personal  behavior  and accept responsibility for themselves.  Doctors kill over a hundred thousand people a year with medical malpractice and human error, per a study by their own medical association.  I don't see anyone calling for laws to ban doctors!!

I stand behind my ideas. I will not pander to the majority.  Freedom Works!
