Mario on KY Governor Assassination

In 1900, Governor-elect William Goebel was assassinated, pierced by a bullet fired from the office of the Secretary of State. Likewise, Governor Fletcher has been figuratively assassinated, along with his corrupt party. Kentuckians have long taken politics seriously.

I am not sure what possessed Representative Ernie Fletcher to become the Republican governor in a Democrat run state, but he has now learned the errors of his ways. A potential alternative party to the liberal democrats has been all but destroyed as democrats are more inspired to attack politically, in order to regain the State House, than to do the people’s work. Of course the chosen leader of their party also lost his Representative seat in a catering scandal.

Politics, rather than representing the wishes of the people, takes precedence at all levels of government from Lexington on up to Washington, DC. It is a shame that the people have no choice outside one of the puppets of two corrupt entities. Political parties long ago replaced the people’s representative government with a treasonous “party government”.

Where are the men of virtue that once walked the hallowed halls of American government and who actually made sacrifices to lead, never crossing the line of integrity drawn in stone, not sand?
