Libertarian Party of Ohio Names Chief Brand Strategist

Columbus, OH - Doug McIntyre, founder and CEO of Cult Marketing, was named Chief Brand Strategist of the Libertarian Party of Ohio, according to John Stewart, Chair of the Ohio Libertarian Party.

"Doug McIntyre was a featured speaker at the Libertarian Party of Ohio's state convention last month," said Stewart. "He outlined a strategy to increase the state's Party membership by defining a strong Libertarian point of view, and developing creative tactics to spread our beliefs.  The members really responded to his ideas and vision."

According to McIntyre, "The Libertarian Party is ripe to make significant inroads into the stifling two-party system and provide a real choice for the five million Ohioans that currently don't support either traditional political ideology.  The core Libertarian policies of lower taxes, smaller government, and less government control are particularly relevant given Ohio's enormous tax burden.  We are the third highest taxed state in the country, and residents and businesses are ready for real change.  My job is to make the Libertarian message resonate with the people of Ohio."

McIntyre continued, "We believe a well-defined Libertarian point of view that clearly and positively demonstrates the tangible benefits of the Libertarian beliefs will be a breath of fresh air in the stagnant and negative political system we are forced to endure."
