Owning your ideas:  an essential tool for freedom If intellectual property rights are not respected, critical elements of a vibrant, productive economy are stripped away—creativity, imagination, innovation and the desire and ability to compete. …In this global economy, it is vital that IP is presented for what it truly is: not a Western conception, not an American ideal—but a component of property, a pillar of freedom and a necessary facet of true prosperity. http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/danielson/2006/05/12/197163.html

The Southern Baptist Exit Strategy:  Let our children go! It is self-evident that secular humanism and its concomitant moral relativism has become the official state sponsored religion in government schools. http://www.theconservativevoice.com/articles/article.html?id=14617

The war we are fighting needs a more accurate name – Dennis Prager We are no more fighting a "War on Terror" than we fought a "War on Kamikazes" in World War II. …We are fighting Islamic fascism and imperialism (though surely not all Muslims)…. [F]rom its inception, Islam has been imperialist. …[B]y the most conservative estimates, 10 percent of Muslims are in sympathy with the bin Laden way. That means at least 100 million people are prepared to murder (and apparently torture) in Allah's name….[W]e had better understand that we are not merely fighting a war on terror, but a war against an ideology that wishes us to convert, be subject to Islamic law, or die.  http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/dennisprager/2006/05/09/196677.html

Tabloid TV “Justice” – Thomas Sowell Are sentences supposed to fit the crime or to depend on what kind of show is put on in the courtroom? …Are only people with blissful childhoods to be held fully accountable for their crimes? Do jurors have any way of knowing how many other people with unhappy childhoods never murdered anybody? http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/thomassowell/2006/05/09/196678.html

An education that may pay for college  I want her to know why there are lines at some stores and not at others. I want her to think about how to own the stores, not the stuff on their shelves. If you try this, instead of teaching kids how to wait and hope that something works out, they will learn about decision making instead. This lesson might prove more valuable than all the classes we are saving for. http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/RyanKruegerandMikeCatalano/2006/05/08/196638.html

Can’t function in our society without a social security number? Currently, Americans are being prohibited from: owning property, traveling, voting, working, banking, marrying, fishing, hunting, bearing arms and doing many other things related to normal civil capacities that are considered natural or fundamental rights or are otherwise necessary to live and fulfill God's intended purpose for them on Earth, unless; they forsake their natural and fundamental right to not participate in the United States voluntary old age, disability, retirement, survivor benefit program called Social Security; and likewise identify themselves with its account record number as their universal identification number. http://christianliberty.org/

Bernie Kunkel goes mainstream? Lots of GOP insiders, plenty of Democrats and frankly some reporters - including me - have marginalized Kunkel over the years as he touted a true conservative agenda in letters to the editors, in campaigns for like Republicans, in political forums and gatherings and through Internet forums. Sometimes he does go a little too far with his writings and rants. But as he worked a room last week during a campaign gathering, Kunkel sounded like the conservative so many other Republicans claim to be. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060507/COL07/605070440/1080/NEWS01&template=printpicart

To serve and protect  Joseph Farah -"It seems the Maryland State Police are too busy to cite the individual who rammed into me, but not too busy to cite me for the tag light being out because of the accident," Conick says.  http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=50110

The Blackwell Revolution – by Star Parker Blackwell decisively defeated Jim Petro, Ohio's attorney general, garnering 56 percent of the vote, and now has a shot at becoming the first black Republican governor in the nation's history. …Blackwell's clear and honest conservatism is the answer to the concerns about the state's economic problems and the problems with government corruption. The point is that corruption is the product of big, undisciplined government, and this is exactly what Ohioans have gotten from their current regime. It is a joke to think that the way to solve corruption is to throw out a big government Republican and replace him with a big government Democrat. http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/StarParker/2006/05/08/196478.html
