Danny Goe on Inflation

Editor

Inflation is here. Gasoline prices have been creeping higher and I do expect to see $3.00 to $3.50 dollars/Gallon soon. If terrorist or a hurricane does damage within the petroleum production area you might even see $5.00/Gallon.  Those costs will surely drive up the cost of all transportation of people, goods and services.

Gold and Silver have always been inflation indicators, the price as of April 18, 2006 was Gold $623.30/oz and Silver $13.79/oz.

The foreign terrorist may be a hazardous to your health while the government bureaucratic terrorist may be hazardous to your wealth. Government bureaucrats demand higher car fuel efficiency, and then mandate the use of Ethanol, which is less fuel-efficient. The energy cost of producing Ethanol from corn cost is nearly the amount of energy within the product. The only winners on Ethanol are the big producers with multi-billion dollar tax credits with the citizens paying the bill. Soy Diesel cost the consumer big time as the demand for the product causes higher prices of soybean products. Consumers must earn that much more to pay for the product the tax on the product and the higher income taxes. These are non-rational decisions by government, which in my opinion will eventually come back to haunt them. Lower Sulfur regulations requirements are being imposed and the cost of that process is being added to fuel cost.

The information continues to mount that the American people are being lead into hyper-inflation and a substandard economic foundation of low paying jobs.
