Metro Corrections Tourism

Recently released inmates from the Louisville jail have made it clear that they will not return until the air conditioning is fixed.  “It was hot in there,” said one inmate who had just bonded out.  “It was very uncomfortable and I’m not coming back until it’s fixed.”

Louisville officials have a tendency to run off business, but this is going too far.  Look at all of the corrections jobs that are in jeopardy if our criminal element fails to uphold their end of the bargain.  Look at the waste of having a new jail and no one to incarcerate.  We need crime, and unless our city “leaders” do something to make our new jail more attractive we are going to lose our criminal business.

No Tax Increase Equals Tax Increase

Our leaders in Frankfort have redefined raising taxes.  It isn’t a tax increase if it was supposed to be raised earlier and was missed.  It isn’t a tax increase if it brings the item being taxed up to tax par with other items.  It isn’t a tax increase if it may impact some illegal activity.  It just isn’t a tax increase even if it raises the tax on an item.  It is simply a honking new way to lie, cheat, and steal.

Forty six of 48 lawmakers who voted for the tax increase, which targets tobacco rolling papers, signed the “no-tax pledge”.  They don’t think they have done anything wrong.  If any noise is made about this and they have to own up to what they have done, will we hear the same excuse that we’ve heard before?  “I didn’t know that the ‘no-tax pledge’ meant forever.  I thought it was only effective while I was campaigning.  I just misunderstood.”

The same logic that is being used to raise this new “no tax” could be used to raise the “no tax” on anything.  “We are just bringing it up to par.  We forgot to raise it last year so we are raising it now.”

Fletcher said that he has no problem with the TAX INCREASE because some people use tobacco rolling papers to roll marijuana cigarettes.  Fact of the matter is Ernie, 90% of the rolling papers sold are for weed.

Since ready rolled packs of cigarettes became available, rolling papers have been predominately used for rolling weed.  It is the most expedient way to indulge in drug fun.  Papers can be swallowed should Johnny law come snooping around; pipes cannot.

This is just one more attack on tobacco users by an administration so out of touch with reality that some reality television producer should purchase the rights.

Tobacco

A new study from Montreal published in the journal of “Neuropsychopharmacology” says visual cues motivate the desire to smoke.  Addiction and habit play minor roles in smoking.  This is aimed at smoking parents and smoking in movies and on television.  The nannies hate to see a smoker on the big screen, and it has almost been wiped off the television completely.  We can watch murders, rapes, theft, street racing, gangs, and Don Knots, but watching someone smoke is a no-no.

However, the reason for my covering this study is not about the content.  The study says, “Twenty healthy smokers were recruited for the study…”  For years we have heard that there is no such thing as a “healthy smoker”.  For the purposes of this study however, they needed “healthy smokers”.

You see, nannies continue to make errors in their misinformation but they are so well funded that Joe politician still listens.  They make laws based on junk science brought to them by Nazis.

What is a healthy smoker?  He is someone who does all the things that non-smokers do and he smokes.  He has a job, mows his grass, raises his kids, celebrates Christmas, and walks among the public just like every other person on this planet and is chastised for smoking and blamed for many ailments plaguing society today.  What is a sick non-smoker?  He is a victim of smokers.

The Louisville Department of Health is losing ground on the great smoking ban.  Several bingo halls just got a reprieve from the courts and can once again allow smoking at bingo.  Four hundred other Louisville locations are also exempt.  The Health Nazis are furious, and Councilman Tom Owen is showing his ass once again.

"Any chipping away at any already weak ordinance is very, very sad and unfortunate for the community and for the patrons and the people who work in those places," Owen said of allowing bingo halls to practice freedom.  The same can be said for freedom Councilman Owen.  You people who are supposed represent our community and serve to protect our freedoms continue to chip away at our liberties, already weakened by your predecessors.  It is very sad and unfortunate for the members of our community.

I wrote to Tom Owen and the email exchange isn’t worth including here.  He simply spouted rhetoric about how he has the authority to act on his district’s behalf to make laws which restrict all of our freedoms.  No citizen input needed and apparently none desired.

Blunder and …Lightning?

They want us to come to Thunder.  They offer us transportation to Thunder.  Then they blame us for so many coming to Thunder.  According to Barry Barker, TARC spokesman, the crowd was just too big.  According to Mayor Jerry, we citizens and TARC Blunder participants shouldn’t have expected it to go smoothly.  That’s twice in the Mayor’s current tenure that he’s been right.  The first time was when he said that Councilman Dan Johnson was stuck somewhere between lost and found.

What a fiasco but hey, we elected these blundering “leaders” who appoint blundering “officials”.  If they didn’t know how many riders there would be a day before the show they did know after they delivered 13,000 to the show.  They had several hours to make adjusted preparations for the return leg.

With an estimated 13,000 riders for Blunder and, if my info is correct, they paid five bucks each way, TARC made $130,000 for a job not well done.  Given this, Lightning will be back and it still won’t split the sky.

Tyson Chicken and more

HALF TRUTH: Illegal aliens pay taxes that benefit the economy.

TRUTH: Most illegal aliens do not receive a typical paycheck with tax deductions -- they are paid in cash and do not pay taxes. Even when they do pay taxes (only possible if they use fraudulent social security numbers or government assigned ID tax numbers), their meager income is not enough to pay for medical expenses and all the expenses for all the children they give birth to.

I won’t buy any more Tyson chicken.  They are closing their plants for Take over America Day, a day that gives illegal invaders a day off to protest the immigration policies in America and the possibility of criminals being treated like criminals.

Ya know, it is odd that these people come here for justice.  It is obvious that they don’t want our justice as it stands now.  They want our justice to reflect their idea of justice.  Why didn’t they demand this in their home countries?

It is estimated that 95% of the estimated 11 million to 20 million illegal aliens in this country are Hispanic and most of those are Mexican.  With numbers like that they could have marched in the streets of Mexico and likely affected some changes.

In the 90’s the INS issued green cards to an estimated 1.5 million illegal aliens.  Good job upholding the laws of our country.  (Title 8, Section 1325 from the U.S. code.)

I say that we give them justice as it applies to America.  They have broken our laws and in doing so they have become criminals.  Our justice demands that criminals are tried in our courts of law.  If they are found guilty they are subject to our punishments.

We’ve let them desecrate our flag, national anthem, and our way of life.  We have done nothing.  What is next?

I saw a public service commercial recently (I don’t know whose public they were trying to service) that showed a bad American in an American restaurant.  This American was an ass but he was supposed to be an ass or the commercial wouldn’t have had the impact that it was supposed to.  He got white bread when he ordered wheat.  The bread was served by what appeared to be a Hispanic.  The American became derogatory about not being able to order in English in an American restaurant.  Now, as I said, the American actor was a jerk.  But his sentiment is well understood by many Americans.  And you know what; maybe he was a jerk because he was getting tired of his native language not being understood in his country.  He was paying for service that he wasn’t getting.  We all need to speak up.  Folks, the illegals are cowards.  If they were anything but cowards they would have fought for their rights at home.  They also would have entered our country legally.

From 1925 and until the disastrous immigration bill of 1965, we had little immigration.  During that time, we were also getting our grass cut, our houses cleaned, and our tomatoes picked.  What happened?  It’s called welfare, and it’s caused by liberals.

Our president surprised me Friday by saying that the national anthem should be sung in English and those wishing to enter America should learn English and sing the national anthem in English.  Bush has finally done something right; I hope he gets stronger on the issue.

If you are illegal, go home.  Coming here and disrupting our society by demanding that you have rights here ain’t working.  In fact, it’s having the opposite effect.  More and more Americans are getting fed up with criminals and their insane demands.

Freemont California

Police in this city are now ignoring burglar alarms.  The chief of police says that ignoring the alarms is freeing up police to do real police work.  How about arresting some illegal aliens?

Andrea Evans

Two year old Andrea Evans is now safe since cops are no longer shooting in her direction.  I think the only danger Andrea had to worry about during this whole kidnapping thing was being hurt by cops – the cops who killed her father.
