Yesterday, in response to last week’s rally where, unbelievably, ILLEGAL immigrant invaders waving the flag of another country protested our government for amnesty and God knows what else, a rally took place at Triangle Park in downtown LEFTington, KY. Americans who care showed up by the “hundreds” according to the Heraldo-Liberal, our local leftist advocacy publication.

LEFTington’s Mark Lowry, a proud American fed up with our government’s inaction on the illegal alien travesty, organized this event and worked tirelessly to promote it. Kentucky Conservative Dot Com promoted it, many of us called in to talk radio to make it known, and we pressured our friends and families to get involved.

One Vietnam Veteran and his wife will receive the tenacity award for riding their Harley from Elizabethtown up the Bluegrass Parkway, getting halfway here, bending a pushrod and limping back, only to get in their pickup truck and make the trip to the rally again. Why so much effort? These are proud Americans who care about their country and their children’s futures. Way to go Road Hogg and Diane! From this day forward, there will be a “Road Hogg and Diane Tenacity Award” to the individual or group that went through the most effort to make an event.

Lowry was quoted in the Heraldo-Liberal saying, “I don’t think anyone here has any animosity against Mexicans. It is illegal immigration, and the politicians who condone it, that have people upset.” Here, here, well said Mr. Lowry. This driven patriot also created a Declaration of Independence for people to sign which asked our government to stop the corruption and obey the Rule of Law. He said over 100 people signed the Declaration at the rally. This is nothing less than the Spirit of 1776 rising up in 2006. Hoooooooooah!

Of course, the Heraldo-Liberal, in their ever overt attempts to paint anyone on the side of America as bigots, placed a caption under the picture of the event which called the people in the picture, and I quote, “anti-immigration protesters”. It never ends with these tireless leftists who use the flow of information as a tool to indoctrinate and affect the ever-coveted brass ring of public opinion. How many people saw that picture labeled “anti-immigration protesters” and didn’t even read the article, writing the proud patriots off as extremists? This rally was not anti-immigrant, but was instead anti-illegal immigration, key word illegal! It was a Pro America and Rule of Law Rally according to organizer Lowry. Our local liberal rag didn't mention the "Rule of Law" part as they want Americans to forget these illegal immigrants are lawbreakers, preferring instead to indoctrinate their sheeple using the term "undocumented workers".

As one more example of the slant of the Heraldo-Liberal, the first paragraph of the article focused on a man who saw a car full of Hispanics drive by, and shouted, “Go home!” That was exactly what leftist writer Andy Mead, author of the article, was there to find. He made sure the first paragraph set the agenda for the article. The man who shouted that tasty item for Mead also stated it was reasonable to assume the Hispanics were illegal for he had read that up to 90% of those in Fayette County are illegal. That sounds quite logical!

They also wrote that this guy said, “America is being overrun by a Mongolian horde jumping the fence like cockroaches.” While that may seem extreme to the leftists over at the Heraldo-Liberal, it does paint, if only an analogy, a somewhat excellent picture of what is happening, especially when you consider these people have the gall to fly their Mexican flags here with their radical protesters removing the American Flag from flagpoles and raising the Mexican flag in its place, and in one well-known case actually flying the American flag upside down. That should have been the beginning of the second Mexican-American War right there, but alas, our entertainment drunk society is too complacent to save itself.

But then, these alien invaders are merely poor people looking for work and a better life according to the press and their liberal lapdogs. They go so far as to refrain from calling them illegal aliens, and instead call them “undocumented workers”. The mind control never ends. The use of language and words is a very important tool in the arsenal of the Left. Excellent example: America is a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy, but liberals, and even those who call themselves conservatives, constantly use the term democracy when referring to the government of the United States. Why not tell the truth? I know the answer, do you?

Politicians were nowhere to be found at this event with the exception of an appearance for a short moment by marijuana advocate and attorney Gatewood Galbraith, who is on the right side of this issue. Past Councilman Paul Brooks and Robert Dalton, a first District Candidate, had the guts to show up and actually spoke. According to Mark Lowry, Paul Brooks is quite sick, but he took the time to come down there, rise up and pick up the microphone, and proceed to tell some truths about the immigration travesty.

The important thing to note about Brooks’ comments is that he advocated placing America’s National Guard and Active Duty Military on the border. They need training anyway, and this would be an excellent training location, which they have to have prior to deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. It would be virtually free since we pay for their training somewhere anyway. Kudos go to Paul Brooks for recognizing this truth and for promoting an excellent concept.

Mayoral candidate Bill Farmer’s campaign said he would attend and speak, but he was a no-show. If publicity and advertising are an indicator of who is going to defeat Isaac in the upcoming election, it looks like Newberry has the artillery. Farmer is virtually invisible save some negative publicity. Of course leftist Arab Mayor Theresa Isaac, whose office has told people inquiring about placing American Flags downtown that the American Flag is divisive and hurts our Hispanic residents, was nowhere to be found. The phrase for the next Mayoral election is “Anyone but Isaac!”

Unfortunately, some very high profile politicians did show up at the invader rally. What is wrong with this picture? One of those politicians is Vice Mayor Mike “Applebees” Scanlon. This is a man who helped the illegal invader rally, took part in it, and used LEFTington taxpayer dollars to help put it on. How so? The stage and sound equipment used for the invader’s rally, although disguised, is owned by the LFUCG Parks and Recreation Department. When Mark Lowry asked for those assets to be used for the Pro-America Rule of Law Rally, they were in use elsewhere, hmmm. The city even had vendors present and porta-potties for the illegal invaders.

According to the Heraldo-Liberal, “Scanlon quoted dollar amounts to show Spanish-speaking immigrants' contributions to his business and Kentucky's tax base. He referred to his family's history as Irish immigrants: "It is my job to see you get the American dream just like I did," he said.” Oh really? Did your family also come here illegally Mr. Scanlon?

Pro-smoking ban Scanlon is a bigwig with Applebee’s Restaurants and somewhat of a bragger. When he got into a tiff with mayoral candidate Bill Farmer recently, Scanlon was quoted saying, "That's why he runs his mother's jewelry store and I run 100 restaurants." This is the classic arrogance of Mike Scanlon. I reminded Scanlon, and the entire LFUCG Council, in an email, that…

Who drags someone’s mother into a political discussion? It appears the answer to that question is pro illegal immigration, pro smoking-ban, Vice-Mayor Mike Scanlon. Thanks go to this haughty man for choosing not to run in the upcoming elections!

Scanlon all but admitted that he hires illegal aliens in his kitchens and is proud of the $10 per hour he pays them, as if he is this big benevolent guy. Anyone who has spent any time studying the issue of illegal immigration understands it is a lie that we need these workers to do jobs Americans will not do. What is really happening is that people like Scanlon have increased their bottom line using cheap labor, thus driving down the labor rates that Americans could make.

Illegal aliens will live 15 or more to a house or apartment so they can work for much less money. We should not expect Americans to live this way just to get a job. Reportedly, Scanlon admitted that he let his employees have the day off to attend this rally from as far away as Cincinnati, OH. Here you have an elected official trying to influence government policy using government assets and out of county foreign invaders to do it. Wow!

Admittedly, America’s yuppie crowd failed to teach the value of work ethic and has created a whole generation of soft, video-game playing, misguided youth. Over 13,000,000 young Americans between the age of 18 and 25 still live with Mommy and Daddy, (according to the last U. S. Census), but this problem is not going to be solved by artificially inseminating the labor market with cheap foreign illegal workers, many of whom can be classified as invaders.

In a free market capitalist society, that means a sovereign nation’s economy, not some globalist reference to trade, the free market will adjust to changes in competition, supply, and demand. That is how capitalism is supposed to work. If the horse industry, the construction industry, or Applebees cannot make it without using cheap illegal immigrant labor, then the market is telling them their industries are invalid in today’s economy and are in need of adjustment. Breaking America’s laws and undermining her sovereignty is not only morally wrong, it is not the answer.
