Keep the House Republican in 2006
In Frank Capra's oft-watched movie, "It's a
Wonderful Life," the character George Bailey is
given a chance to see what his hometown would be
like had he never lived. He quickly learns it's
an ugly place. Lucky for Bailey, the
transformation of his fictional town was just a
trick played on him by an angel.Conservatives
cannot count on a similar twist in this year's
elections, which will take place in the real
world. If they succumb to the temptation to
write off the Republican Congress, sitting on
their hands this November, forsaking the
opportunity to contribute to and work for
Republican campaigns, or neglecting to go out
and vote on election day, they could come out of
their stupor next year to discover that Capitol
Hill, without a Republican majority, has become
a land of nightmares.

Hillary: At Home With the New York Times
After Sen. John Kerry lost to George W. Bush in
2004, the press focused on Sen. Hillary Clinton
as a potential Democratic savior in 2008. As
Mrs. Clinton's home-state broadsheet, The New
York Times has a front-row seat for the race.

Policy Disasters Cost Karl Rove His Role
Word is circulating in Washington that Karl Rove
is being reorganized out of his new duties
overseeing policy development in the White
House. This could well be positioning to show
Karl his way back to Texas. Somebody has to be
the "fall-guy" for the November election debacle
that is brewing for the Republican Party.

Michelle Malkin: No Tears for Terrorists
Get out your box of aloe vera-enriched,
three-ply Kleenex tissues. The bleeding-heart
defense team for convicted al Qaeda terrorist
Zacarias Moussaoui wants to tell you a sob
story. Like so many apologists for jihad,
Moussaoui's lawyers are playing the victim card
on behalf of a murder-minded thug who just can't
wait to die for Allah.

Terry Jeffrey: The Anti-Family Tax
A good way to find Republican voters during the
2004 campaign was to look for traditional
families. Nationwide, according to exit polls
conducted for the major television networks,
President Bush routed Sen. John Kerry 59% to 40%
among married people with children.

Mac Johnson: Will Illegal Immigrants Really Save
Social Security?
One of the more idiotic arguments in favor of
open borders is that, due to the declining
birthrate of our selfish society, we need
millions upon millions of impoverished
foreigners to rush in to support our bleating
aging baby boomers in their extended and
lethargic retirements.

Lie Down With Strippers, Wake Up With Pleas
However the Duke lacrosse rape case turns out,
one lesson that absolutely will not be learned
is this: You can severely reduce your chances of
having a false accusation of rape leveled
against you if you don't hire strange women to
come to your house and take their clothes off
for money.

Find out what
the liberals in the media and academia
don't want you to know.
Read B. Forrest Clayton's
Suppressed History: Obliterating
Politically Correct Orthodoxies and
Suppressed History II: Pulverizing
Politically Correct Paradigms.
These two books reveal startling
information about military history,
political history, social history, and
natural history. Phyllis Schlafly's
Education Reporter said, "B. Forrest
Clayton's debunking of left-wing
shibboleths from a Christian perspective
is a valuable service." As seen on
Scarborough Country.

Top 10 Most Ridiculous Quotes by Hillary Clinton
By Thomas D. Kuiper. The following quotes are
my 10 favorite from my new book, "I've Always
Been a Yankees Fan: Hillary Clinton In Her Own
Words."
10. "It's been said, and
I think it's accurate, that my husband was
obsessed by terrorism in general and
al-Qaida in particular."
(Hillary telling a post-9/11 world what a
great commander in chief her husband was;
Dateline, NBC, April 16, 2004.)
9. "I have to admit that
a good deal of what my husband and I have
learned [about Islam] has come from our
daughter."
(Circa 1996, at a White House function,
Hillary proudly tells some Muslim groups she
is gaining a greater appreciation of Islam
because Chelsea was then taking a class on
the "religion of peace"; TruthInMedia.org,
Aug. 8, 1999.)
Note: See No. 4. Muslim groups, with ties
to Hamas, were welcomed at the Clinton White
House. But not Republicans.
8. "Many of you are well
enough off that [President Bush's] tax cuts
may have helped you. We're saying that for
America to get back on track, we're probably
going to cut that short and not give it to
you. We're going to have to take things away
from you on behalf of the common good."
(Hillary to her fellow liberals in a
speech in San Francisco; SFGate.com June 28,
2004.)

Why Dems Won't Replicate 1994 in 2006
Republicans continue to suffer badly in opinion
polls, and so it is appropriate to revisit the
now-common comparison to 1994, when they wrested
power from complacent Democrats who had held
their House majority for too long. Is the same
dynamic at work this year, and can we reasonably
expect a Democratic House after the mid-term
elections of 2006?

Senate's Immigration Plan Overlooks Budget
"It could be pretty big," fretted Sen. Jon Kyl
(R.-Ariz.), "and one of the problems is nobody
knows how big." Moreover, Sen. Jeff Sessions
(R.-Ala.) added, "this is something...that we
never discussed at all...as we moved forward
with legislation which ultimately cleared
Committee and came to the floor."
