This Time, The Lions DID Eat Daniel!

By Mike Minton

In the ACTUAL book of Daniel, in The Holy Bible, Daniel was a servant of the Lord, and prayed faithfully to God three times a day, asking for wisdom and direction. Having been the victim of a vicious plot, Daniel was thrown into a den of lions as punishment for asking God for help. However, in the Biblical account, God sent an angel to watch over Daniel and protect him through the night. This story can be read here: http://www.antelope-ebooks.com/RELIGIOUS/daniellions.html.

However, as I expressed to you in my articles The Holy Homosexual Bible Parts I and II, the Book of Daniel in 2006 was quite a different story. For, in this NBC television show, Daniel was a pill-popping priest who had what NBC termed a typical American Christian family: an alcoholic wife, a sister-in-law who slept with his lesbian secretary, a homosexual Republican son, a 16 year old drug-dealing daughter, and an adopted son who is having sex with the bishop's daughter. Yea, that's a typical American family.

Well, the outcome of this Daniel story is also quite different from the Daniel story taken from the Bible. This time, THIS Daniel was thrown to the lions, and the lions ATE HIM ALIVE!!! After receiving 678,394 emails, and thousands more phone calls, according to the American Family Association, NBC has canceled Daniel effective immediately! And after airing only three episodes of the sacrilege!

This is a HUGE victory for those of us who oppose the type of 'in your face' tactics that liberals use to promote homosexuality, drug abuse, promiscuity and other nontraditional behaviors as not only acceptable, but actually desirable, lifestyles. A totally ludicrous notion which has now been roundly rejected by the American viewing public.

The director of the failed show, Jack Kenny, called the actions of groups like the AFA "unchristian" and "censorship." The first thought that comes to mind after hearing his statements is how funny it is that the purveyor of such a show is trying to define what Christian values are.

The second thought is that this is in no way censorship; it is merely Americans expressing their outrage at the show by letting the advertisers know that if they continue to sponsor such filth, they will no longer buy their goods or services. NBC did not pull the show because someone told them they had to; they pulled it because they were losing millions of dollars per episode due to sponsors who were dropping left and right (no pun intended).

I am given a little more faith in the values of mainstream Americans by their reaction to this form of "entertainment." The REAL Daniel would indeed be proud!
