KentuckyVotes.org releases 2005 Honor Roll (Bowling Green, Kentucky)– KentuckyVotes.org, the free voter-information service of the Bluegrass Institute, is pleased to release the 2005 Honor Roll of legislators who missed the fewest votes during the most recent legislative session. Legislators missing one or zero roll-call votes earn a place on the Honor Roll, according to Caleb O. Brown, director of KentuckyVotes.org. “Legislators occasionally miss votes for a variety of reasons,” Brown said. “It’s up to voters to decide if those reasons are credible.” State senators earning a place on the 2005 Honor Roll are: Walter Blevins, Jr. (D), Charlie Borders (R), David E. Boswell (D), Julian Carroll (D), Dan Kelly (R), Elizabeth Tori (R), Kenneth Winters (R), Carroll Gibson (R), Denise Harper Angel (D) and Joey Pendleton (D). In the House, legislators earning a place on the 2005 Honor Roll are: Jim DeCesare (R), Charles Miller (D), Jim Stewart (R), Larry Clark (D) and David Osborne (R). A complete listing of all legislators’ missed votes is at KentuckyVotes.org under “Missed Votes Report.” “Kentucky legislators need look no further than to the stellar voting record of the late Congressman William H. Natcher for guidance on this issue,” said Brown. “In more than 40 years of service in Congress, Natcher cast 18,401 consecutive votes on behalf of Kentucky’s 2nd Congressional District.” KentuckyVotes.org will provide daily coverage of the 2006 General Assembly session beginning Jan. 3.
