History repeats itself. I was with an old Viet Cong two years ago in SE Asia. He said that they had 40,000 plus Viet Cong at the start of the war with us. When we left they had about 5,000. If you do not believe me, just go to Vietnam and ask some people. The old commies also said we had them beat after Tet and when we bombed North Vietnam. They were waiting for our government to say we won. It was over twice and no one in Washington, DC had the balls to go over and declare victory.

I recently talked to some 82nd Airborne people. They had been in Iraq and Afghanistan and were going back to Iraq. Some had been over there more times. They said not to believe the news coverage. They were winning and the people over there loved them. They also said, it would be over next year and they were training the people to take over their own country.

If you want the truth about Vietnam, Afghanistan or Iraq or any war, ask a combat infantry person. They know first hand what is going on.

If you want to live in a make believe world, read a newspaper or watch television.
