"[I]f you serve a child a rotten hamburger in America, federal, state, and local agencies will investigate you, summon you, close you down, whatever.  But if you provide a child with a rotten education, nothing happens, except that you're liable to be given more money to do it with."

--Ronald Reagan

FOOL ME TWICE: ANTI-BUSH BIAS FROM NEW ORLEANS TO BAGHDAD

By Rod D. Martin

"Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me." -- Old adage

There they go indeed.  And shame on anyone for believing them anymore.
I mean, of course, the elite liberal media, who will stop at nothing to topple the Bush presidency.  Not even if it means manipulating the news about war and natural disasters.           (click to read more)

Science and Religion, Politics and Economics

By D. Eric Schansberg

With the recent election results in Kansas and Delaware, the debate continues to intensify over teaching Evolution and “Intelligent Design” in the public schools. There is much at stake—from scientific integrity to philosophical baggage. And the stakes are more intense than they ought to be because of the way in which our country delivers educational services.          (click to read more)

Every Vote Must Count, Unless the Liberals Win.

By Justin Darr

Every have that feeling there is something missing, but you cannot quite remember what it is?  The weather is getting colder; did I forget to check my washer fluid?  No.  Check the tire pressure?  No, it is fine.  Any anniversary, birthdays, or doctor appointments I might have missed?  No, all are up to date.  Oh, now I remember, we just had an election cycle and I am still waiting to hear the hysterical screams of the left claiming that voters were disenfranchised by the cruel and heartless Republicans.          (click to read more)

The American Left Won Vietnam for the Communists;  Want to Win Iraq for the Islamo-fascists

By Jeff “Mario” Smith, Guerilla Reporter

At the end of WWII, Ho Chi Minh named General Vo Nguyen Giap commander in chief of the Viet Minh forces. Giap is considered one of the most important men in the history of Vietnam, second only to Ho himself. (click to read more)

Hypocrisy on steroids

By Henry Lamb

Remember the Democrats' criticism after the World Trade Centers attack: "Bush knew they were coming!" The anti-Bush crowd insisted that the president had intelligence reports that revealed the imminent attacks, and he failed to prevent them.     (click to read more)

Sappy Thanksgiving

By Jonathan David Morris

Ah, late November, that special time of year when Americans of all ages come together to celebrate victory over the Indians in the Battle of Thanksgiving. I don’t know about you, but this is one of my favorite times of the year. This is when the leaves turn colors and fresh fires burn from chimneys. America is at its best during Thanksgiving. At no other time is America more American.           (click to read more)

Thanksgiving is not secular; hasn’t been since 1621

By Jeff “Mario” Smith, Guerilla Reporter

"In the name of God, Amen, We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, ... Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith and the Honour of our King and Country, a Voyage to plant the first Colony...."          (click to read more)

USA Patriot Act

Did you let your congressman or senator know that sunsetting the USA Patriot Act was fine with you?  I heard so many senators stand up and say that we need this act to protect our people and that the act did not interfere with law-abiding citizens’ rights.  Therein lies the rub.          (click to read more)

"The day before hurricane Rita hit Texas...I saw on TV something that disturbed me... It was a fat Texas guy swimming in the waves off Galveston. He'd apparently decided the high surf was a good thing to jump into, so he went for a pre-hurricane swim. Two cops saw him, waded into the surf and arrested him. When I saw it the guy was standing there in orange trunks being astonished as the cops put handcuffs on him and hauled him away. I thought:

Oh no, this isn't good. You'd have to be crazy, in my judgment, to decide you were going to go swim in the ocean as a hurricane comes. But in the America where I grew up, you were allowed to be crazy. You had the right. Sometimes you were crazy and survived whatever you did. Sometimes you didn't, and afterwards everyone said, 'He was crazy.'... It is the government's job to warn and inform. That's what we have the National Weather Service for. It is not government's job to command and control and make micro-decisions about the lives of people who want to do it their own way." ---Peggy Noonan

“Leftists have devised a simple yet amazingly effective formula to engender social discord: break up the family, marginalize fathers, and then blame the whole mess on men.” – Carey Roberts

Free State Project

"...AARP has become America's most dangerous lobby. If left unchecked, its agenda will plunder our children and grandchildren... Anyone who's watched the steel and auto industries can visualize AARP's America. In those industries, companies and unions unrealistically agreed to overly generous pensions and retiree health benefits that, as the number of retirees multiplied, overburdened the companies. Now past promises collide with present economic realities. Workers and retirees suffer. Wages and jobs are cut; so are pensions and retiree health benefits. On a much larger scale, that may be America's fate." - Columnist Robert Samuelson

Throughout forty centuries of human experience, price controls at their best have always been a miserable failure. At their worst, they have led to famine and bloodshed - to defeat and to disaster. — Irving S. Olds
