Like Rabid Dogs

By Jeff “Mario” Smith, Guerilla Reporter

September 22, 2005

“The SEAL waited several minutes longer before easing out from his hiding place and moving quickly to the structure’s rear window. He pulled himself through the window, moved briskly across the room, and quickly grabbed a fistful of documents from a pile of papers strewn across a table. Without examining what he had picked up, he backed out through the window into the darkness, then made his way back to where the Boss and the RTO had set up their listening post.”

“They examined the papers under the dim light of a red-lens flashlight. Among them were political caricatures, revolution-inspired poems, and several wallet-sized, laminated photos. All the photos were identical and appeared to have been photocopied from a single newspaper photograph. They depicted a police officer wearing a hat with the distinctive checkered band of the Chicago police force; the man was wading into a crowd of long-haired, young civilians, his billy club raised high above his head ready to strike. The SEALs later learned that the photo had been taken during the rioting in Chicago in August 1968 at the Democratic National Convention. They assumed (correctly) that the pictures were to be distributed to NVA troops for propaganda purposes.”1

The above report references a Navy SEAL action in support of SOG operations in northern Cambodia in December of 1968. This particular team was conducting snatch operations for intelligence purposes. It illustrates the propaganda value media reports of anti-war protesters provide to our enemies. Never think for a microsecond that our enemies do not use our anti-war propaganda against us in theater. These reports and others, glowingly reported internationally by the liberal media mind-control machine, gave our godless communist enemy in Southeast Asia the will to continue to fight, even after we had decimated them during their failed TET Offensive. How many American fighting men were killed as a result? How many POWs are still suffering? We will never know. We do know that the war was not lost in theater, but was instead lost on the streets of America. The manure spreaders of the information world, the liberal media, made sure of it.

The same method of aiding and abetting our enemy is being used by those Americans today who despise their country and will do anything to cause us to lose another war, naively believing that our enemies will merely go away if we just don’t upset them. Cindy Sheehan, the mother of American KIA in Iraq, Army Specialist Casey Sheehan, is goose-stepping all over the flag-draped coffin of her son, who incidentally, did not share her anti-war views. She is only the latest in a long line of anti-war protesters who, during the Vietnam conflict, became empowered to test the waters of anti-American extremism, having not been charged with treason, as they arguably should have been.

These folks today can’t even come up with a new group of faces, having to resurrect the likes of Hanoi Jane Fonda, Ho Chi Kerry, Joan Baez, and others. Even their clothing, hair, and smell are similar to their hippie heroes of yesteryear according to a radio report by Laura Ingraham today. Talk about unoriginal! These modern day hippies want so bad to relive the sixties, they have been comparing Iraq to Vietnam from day one. Nostalgia is all right, but let’s get a life folks, the sixties are over, thank God.

Since the Birkenstock crowd wants to recreate the sixties, let’s provide a little truth for them. The TET Offensive of 1968, wrongly reported, criminally I would say, by Cronkite, Rather-biased, and other liberals, as a coup for the North Vietnamese, was actually a dismal failure for them. Whole battalions of NVA and Viet Cong were decimated and it was at least two years before our enemy could mount anything considered close to a major offensive. A friend of mine, who piloted helicopters at that time, tells me the smell of rotting communist carcasses was so bad you had to wear a rag over your face at 1500 feet.

General Giap himself admitted they were defeated at that moment in history but for one ingredient – the American anti-war movement. So the North decided to dig in and let the anti-war left work on the American psyche eventually leading to America losing stomach for the war. Thanks to the multitudinous volumes of propaganda provided by our own media, it worked, and the rest is history. Hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese, Hmong, and other allies were brutally murdered or sent to re-education work camps as a result. The phenomenon of the masses of “boat people”, escaping in anything that would float, speaks volumes here. There is the blood of many on the hands of the anti-war left, but they will never admit it, choosing instead to use their influence in the education and publication arenas to rewrite the story in what we now know is “revisionist history”.

For those of us who lived through the Vietnam era, this is all too evident and is amazing to watch. It is as if these people aren’t really people at all, but are instead, sheep-people, or sheeple. Their shepherds are the propagandists of the media and the Hollyweird types who are celebrated to the point that the sheeple actually think entertainers’ opinions matter. Now why would I care what someone who reads something written by someone else while looking good in front of a camera thinks about politics? I don’t.

Like rabid dogs, these protesters are in Washington, DC as I write this, saying the most hurtful of things and even claiming they hate their country, let alone its leaders. Frothing at the mouth, with spittle raining down on their sheeple, the likes of Bette Midler, Ted “Chappaquiddick” Kennedy, Ho Chi Kerry, Sean “Hussein” Penn and other entertainers and politicians have lowered the standard of discourse in America to the point you just want to punch them in the mouth for being so stupid, careless, hurtful, and hateful. They even protest our troops at Walter Reed Hospital who have been wounded in action.

The reason all of this is still happening, even with the knowledge that the left has been wrong about every thing they have ever pontificated, is due to the fact that none of these discussions are taking place upon a foundation of truth. Propaganda is the quicksand with which the left propels itself into a perceived relevance, and with the truth left out, nothing will be solved. We can talk, yell, preach, and denigrate all day and night, but without allowing truth to be our starting point, we cannot move forward into a positive future. Get your rabies shot and turn off your television. Oh yeah, and cancel that subscription to the liberal news rag that messes up your doorstep every morning. Venture outside the mainstream and begin to tickle your mind with truth and actual intelligent discussion. You won’t see any of these rabid dogs there, that’s for sure.
