International Communists Focusing on LEFTington, KY

LEFTington, KY:   We call it LEFTington because that is the political direction the town has been traveling for the last several years. Radical leftists and liberals of all flavors have established their beloved "grass roots" organizations and are working together to accomplish all their individual tasks. From their appearances at several LFUCG Council meetings with their Birkenstocks and bongo drums, one can only imagine what kind of "grass roots" they are utilizing.

This is not to say there’s a large amount of people doing all of this. To the contrary, they are a few radical individuals who are simply very well organized, have deep pockets, and have lots of time and energy to put into the destruction of Liberty in our community. This is a story that is repeated all across this once great nation of ours as these people are all tied together through supporting organizations.

A few years ago, while most LEFTington residents took no interest in the local mayoral race, and only 20% of registered voters showed up to vote, these radicals were working behind the scenes to get their player into the Mayor’s office, one Theresa Isaac. Before becoming mayor, Isaac was a divorced mother who, we are told, did not have custody of her child. It was said she was illegally using an automobile technically owned by her last unsuccessful political campaign. By law, this entity was no longer supposed to exist. Allegedly, she did this because she could not pay her bills and, without hiding the vehicle in this manner, it would have been repossessed. It sounds like she needed a job, and these radicals helped her get one. Is this the type of background we want for our leaders?

One of the first things Mayor Isaac did was to place our city in the position where our publicly funded health insurance for city employees became a vehicle for the non-married "partners" of some city employees to receive coverage. Hmmm, sounds like a recipe for fraud to me, let alone undermining the institution of marriage. "Hey Mikey, I need health insurance. Let’s tell the city we have been living together for years so I can sign up on your policy." Yeah, right!

The Mayor also has been working with these people that got her a new job to attack the Liberty of privately owned businesses with a smoking ban. Our spineless Council approved the ban, promoted by our powerful local Health Department, and several business have been driven into the ground as a result. More importantly, the overbearing authority of local government has sent the message that Liberty is not important and we are too stupid to make decisions for ourselves. We need big brother to control everything and save us from ourselves. This is not business friendly for a town that on the other hand appears to be trying to entice new businesses to locate within its boundaries.

It doesn’t end there. They are also abusing eminent domain laws in order to steal our well-run water utility, which has done nothing wrong and provides a fabulous product at a fair price. These radicals want the city to steal these profits for their beloved social change programs. Remember, "community activist", with the letters rearranged, spells "communist activity". Our irresponsible leadership has spent over $1,300,000.00 to date on this effort to assault a privately owned and well-run company. Wow.

This battle over control of our water, actually a battle over its distribution, has brought to town radical leftists of international stature. LEFTingtonians should take notice. Most people in this community are conservative and do not want these things to happen, but they aren’t stepping up to the plate. After all, the game is on TV and they have to keep up with the latest "reality show" so they can talk about it at work. The real reality is they are losing their town to the radical left, as it becomes the San Francisco of the Midwest.

On September 12, 2005, at a FLOW/LUV/YES meeting (redundant groups of liberal activists), three individuals were introduced that it was said are assigned to work in LEFTington on the referendum until the November 8^th election. You see the liberals lost in the last election, and our new Council overturned the Mayor’s efforts to take over the Water Company, voting to end the communistic condemnation procedures. As always, these liberals can’t take no for an answer, so they mounted a deceptive signature campaign in order to put the water condemnation issue up to a vote, allegedly. This effort is currently being challenged in the courts.

When the old Council was in their back pocket, the local liberals did not want the people to vote, their mouthpiece Foster Ockerman stating publicly that we have a representative form of government and we trust our elected representatives to do their jobs. However, now that they have lost at the polls and we have a new Council that opposes condemnation, they all of a sudden want the people to have a voice. Go figure. Does the hypocrisy of the left never end?

Now, who are these three people brought in to work on this very communistic concept of stealing a privately owned company and having the government "own" it? All I know at this point is that these three imported radicals were introduced as having worked on the "Kucinich for President" campaign. This is a guy who is tied heavily in with the radical green movement, is anti-war in Iraq, is against the death penalty, and is just about as left as a candidate can get.

One hop over from the Kucinich campaign to the Ralph Nader anti-capitalist Public Citizen organization, not a far reach at all, and one can find a connection to the Green Corps, the so-called education arm of Greenpeace. The September 2005 issue of "Currents", a Public Citizen publication titled "Water For All Campaign to Keep Water as a Public Trust", (http://www.citizen.org/documents/CurrentsSept2005.pdf), shows the international activism these people are involved with.

These folks don’t think of themselves as Americans. They are leftists, liberals, and communists with no loyalty to any one nation. They work to destroy the free market capitalist society that has made America the envy of the world and the freest nation ever founded on the face of the earth. One would have to live in a vacuum not to be aware of how these radical so-called environmentalists work to undermine our oil supply making us more dependent on the Islamic Middle East, and have helped to drive industry from our shores to more friendly business environments in other countries.

The "Water For All" newsletter brings into focus just how international in nature these people are and how they are organized to undermine our Liberty. They celebrate several alleged victories in this publication. One battle in Emmaus, PA, a very small town I know from my youth, was a similar battle to the one being waged in LEFTington, but that is where the comparison ends. A town of less than 5000 people can in no way function in the same way that LEFTington does, a city with somewhere near 300,000 people. They expose their leftist nature when they say that this organization in Emmaus called EFLOW is now eager to support other local struggles. You see, it isn’t about water, it is about leftism.

LEFTington is specifically mentioned in the newsletter also as the signature petition that had deceptive wording is celebrated. It states, "Joined by Green Corps organizers, they are organizing phone banks, neighborhood walks, and literature distribution to raise awareness and to get out the vote. They then steer people to the FLOW and LUV websites. Battles in Bolivia, California, Maine, and Ghana are also discussed.

Green Corps states on their website, "…in 1992, we enlisted the help of legendary environmental activists David Brower, Cesar Chavez, and Lois Gibbs to help us create the Green Corps and our Environmental Leadership Training Program." Whoa, stop the boat and let me off. Additionally, they state, "150 Green Corps graduates (are) currently holding positions of leadership in the environmental and social change movement." There you go, their "social change" agenda is out of the closet.

The citizens of LEFTington had better wake up. The time has come to draw the line in the sand and send these environmental wackos packing. If we don’t step up to the plate soon, we are going to be overrun with so many liberal policies we will never be able to return to the Liberty that was intended to be enjoyed by all and we will be taxed to death in the process.
