“Global Goods for the Anti-Globalization
Movement” by Anthony B. Bradley
Why do so many protestors in the
anti-globalization movement seem to have
such a big appetite for the products of
companies such as Nokia, Seiko, Nissan,
Volvo, Toshiba, and the like? Maybe it’s
because, as Anthony Bradley writes,
their paternalistic views about the poor
and the developing world blind them to
the reality of the global economy.

“Liberal Fundamentalism – Who are the intolerant
extremists?” Opinion Journal
| |
From an editorial
first published in The Wall Street Journal,
Sept. 13, 1984: “In retrospect, it's clear that
the moral clarity of the early civil-rights
movement was a political epiphany for many white
liberals. Some have since returned to
traditional, private lives; others have become
neoconservatives. But many active liberals
carried along their newly found moral certitude
and quasi-religious fervor into nearly every
major public-policy issue that has come along in
the past 15 years. The result has been liberal
fundamentalism.” |

An Address on the Decline of American Values by
Charles Colson
 |
On June 7, 1993, Charles Colson
delivered an address at the Acton Institute’s
third Annual Dinner in which he discussed the
vital importance of maintaining a moral
foundation for society. He provides a strong
defense of the Judeo-Christian foundations of
American culture that remains just as relevant
in our current social context. |
