Flag Raising and Memorial Stone Dedication April 30 in Georgetown KY

On April 30, 2005, Mike and Kathy Ford of 4086 Newtown Pike in Georgetown, KY will be hosting a Flag Raising Ceremony at their home. Speakers will include Georgetown Mayor Everett Varney, American Legion Commander Dan Perkins, Task Force Omega of KY State Director Sgt. Danny Belcher, TFO of KY District 2 Director Scott Harper, and a special guest dignitary. This celebration of American Patriotism begins at 1200 Noon and will include a 21 Gun Salute. A cookout follows. Old Glory will be raised with the POW MIA Flag placed below her to honor all those missing from past wars so that they are never forgotten. The flagpole has been erected in honor of Mike Ford's father, SFC Harold W. Ford, a 29 Year Military Veteran. A memorial stone will be placed in his memory.

Directions from Lexington: 12 ½ miles North of I 75 on Newtown Pike (Rt. 922)

From Cynthiana:  US 62 towards Georgetown / Left onto Rt. 922 South (Newtown Pike)

Straight through first stop sign - ½ mile on right

Or: Exit 126 off I 75: Right if coming from South, Left if coming from North / Follow US 62 towards Cynthiana / Right on 922 South / Straight at first stop sign – ½ mile on right.
