| WE NEED YOUR STORIES: As perhaps you
know, the Acton Institute has launched the Center for Entrepreneurial
Stewardship with a focus on building a virtue-based business ethics
curriculum for use in undergraduate and graduate business programs. We
have already developed a significant amount of material for the
curriculum which is being used in several institutions.
This is where you come in. We are gathering a series of stories
from business people that can be used in training future business
leaders to think both economically and morally. The stories should
tell about a difficult ethical issue you have faced in your business,
how you wrestled with it, and how you resolved it.
There are several ways this can be done. You can write the story,
totaling somewhere between 500 and 1500 words and simply send it to me
via email (jzandstra@acton.org).
Or, if you prefer, you can respond to this email letting me know
that you have a story that you think would be helpful. I will arrange
a time for me to do an interview with you over the phone.
I will use the stories I hear to create case studies to be used in
teaching business students. I will ensure that enough details are
changed to maintain your anonymity when the stories are made available
to students.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. The
contribution of your stories will have a profound impact on the next
generation of business leaders.
Thanks,
Dr. Jerry Zandstra
