Fight and Win Real Change in Washington, America and the
World
Dear Conservative Friend,
Anyone can talk about
conservative ideas: that's the stuff of a thousand college
bull-sessions. But what are you willing to really do?
At Vanguard PAC, we believe that
ideas have consequences, and indeed, we believe that it's our duty
to provide not only the broad vision but the concrete policy
positions necessary to set off a veritable cascade of change, the
true transformation necessary to create the conservative ownership
society Americans need and deserve in the 21st Century.
But just sitting around and
talking about it won't get us anywhere.
That's why we spent 2004 helping
conservative candidates across America, and why we especially
focused on identifying, registering and getting out voters in the
crucial battleground state of Florida: we took a key role in
establishing George Bush's mandate, averting a debacle like 2000,
and replacing a radical leftist U.S. Senator with the conservative,
pro-life Mel Martinez.
It's why our leadership put in
countless hours on national radio and television, making sure the
conservative message got out, and that it was articulated forcefully
and well.
And it's also why we've spent
years preparing for all this, by advocating key policies like
private Social Security accounts, fundamental tax reform and
ballistic missile defense long before they were "cool"; and by
training the nationwide cadre of activists required to actually win.
We want men and women in office
who share our values and embrace our vision. We want genuine
statesmen who are well equipped to wisely address the issues facing
America in the century ahead.
But the difference between us
and the "talkers" is that we really mean to elect them, and then to
help them enact meaningful change. And we have a proven track record
of doing exactly that.
