To Disappointed Libertarians By Gordon Francis Corbett
Messrs. Badnarik and Campagna worked very hard for our cause. We owe them a huge debt of thanks, but we must not let their defeat dishearten us.
We need to remember why our ideas are right, and why we need to fight for them.
We believe in truth. We must tell the truth consistently, persistently, and with all the innovation that our meager cash can buy.
We believe in justice. The natural law studies how human beings should treat one another. Its foundation is the individual's right. When every person's rights are intact, we have justice.
We believe in liberty. When every person can use his rights in any way respectful of everyone else's rights, we have liberty.
We believe in our Constitution. The Founding Fathers wrote it to give us the tools we need to preserve our rights. When we offer a friend arguments based on the natural law and our Constitution, we show him how our ideas would make him free.
We believe in politics. When we back candidates who argue soundly for truth and justice, we help them to spread the truth of liberty in every corner of our land.
Please do not give up. Liberty is the most attractive concept ever created, and when we can let every voter see its light and feel its warmth, we will win.
