Oklahoma:
A Senate Race the GOP is Willing to Lose
"By Jane Chastain
He's got the charisma and moral clarity of Ronald Reagan, the honesty of
Abe Lincoln and the mental toughness of Jesse Helms. In Oklahoma, the
polls show he is the only man who can beat Democrat Brad Carson for the
Senate seat being vacated by Don Nickles, but the party establishment
wants him to lose. "

for statewide boycott of Senate election if Specter aims for Judiciary
Chair
Citing its support for President Bush and his appointments to the Federal
bench the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA) unanimously
voted to support a boycott of the U.S. Senate election in Pennsylvania.
“Unless he removes his name from consideration as Chair of the Judiciary”,
organization President Richard Engle said, “We will work for the open and
deliberate boycott of Mr. Specter among Republicans in the Keystone
state.” "

NFRA: Why the Marriage Amendment is Necessary
"By: Christopher G. Adamo
Once again Republican “Trojan Horses” in the U.S. Senate showed their true
allegiances by collaborating with liberal Democrats. In defeating the
Federal Marriage Amendment, they displayed their unwillingness to uphold
basic conservative principle. Thus, they not only allowed the forces of
the counterculture to press forward with their assault on traditional
morality, but also simultaneously squandered a golden opportunity to
elevate the standing of their party in they eyes of the electorate."

NFRA: GOP RINO's work to raise our taxes, end future tax cuts
"A Dime's Worth of
Difference?
Four Republican senators are determined to raise your taxes.
BY PETE DU PONT
An important and serious argument is going on in Washington about whether
taxes on Americans' incomes should stay where they are or dramatically
rise, and whether government spending should continue its accelerating
growth. We know what Democrats think. They despise tax cuts and believe
government spending should be higher. Washington Republicans, on the other
hand, are unsure of themselves. They used to be for lower taxes and
smaller government; now they seem to want bigger spending even if it means
higher taxes, abandoning Reagan conservatism for '60s liberalism. In other
words, this is a battle for the heart of the Republican Party; the outcome
matters, and it seems to be in doubt. "

NFRA: Drip, Drip, Drip
"More Oil for Food
details leak out. When will the U.N. come clean?
BY CLAUDIA ROSETT
Kofigate continues. Another stack of secret United Nations Oil for Food
documents has now reached the press, this batch procured by congressional
sources and providing--at long last--a better view of Saddam Hussein's
entire U.N.-approved shopping list. This huge roster of Oil for Food
relief contracts fills in a few more of the vital details about Saddam's
"humanitarian" partnership with the U.N., spelling out the names of all
his U.N.-approved relief suppliers and the price of every deal. "

Carolina: John Edwards ? Will the real one please stand up
"Gerard Jackson
The anointment of John Edwards as Kerry's running mate put the media into
instant hyperdrive. These loyal lapdogs of the Democratic Party almost
trampled each other to death in the stamped to tell Americans how lucky
they are to have such a "talented", experienced", "fresh-faced", "
folksy", "positive" blah, blah, blah, candidate in John Edwards. "

NFRA: NAACP Hasn't Advanced Anything in a Long Time
"By John H Mc Whorter
Last week, for the fourth year in a row, President Bush declined the
NAACP's invitation to speak at its annual convention. Predictably, NAACP
President Kweisi Mfume railed that the Bush administration failed to
recognize the nation's oldest and largest civil rights group as being
significant or important in any way."

NFRA: A contest between big spenders
"Jeff Jacoby
FOR FISCAL conservatives, the choice this election could hardly be more
depressing.
In the Republicans' corner is George W. Bush, who presides over the most
bloated federal budget in US history. Bush's profligacy has left in
tatters the traditional GOP claim to fiscal rectitude. He has
uncomplainingly signed into law every pork-stuffed appropriations bill
sent to him by Congress. He has flooded the government's books with red
ink. And he has embraced new schemes for draining the Treasury, including
the largest expansion of the welfare state in decades."

Quote of the Week...
"A recently reprinted
memoir by Frederick Douglass has footnotes explaining what words like
'arraigned,' 'curried' and 'exculpate' meant, and explaining who Job was. In
other words, this man who was born a slave and never went to school educated
himself to the point where his words now have to be explained to today's
expensively under-educated generation."
--Thomas Sowell
"Conservatives
believe man was created in God's image, while liberals believe they are
gods. All of the behavioral tics of the liberals proceed from their godless
belief that they can murder the unborn because they, the liberals, are
themselves gods. They try to forcibly create 'equality' through affirmative
action and wealth redistribution because they are gods. They flat-out lie,
with no higher power to constrain them, because they are gods. They adore
pornography and the mechanization of sex because man is just an animal, and
they are gods. They revere the UN and not the U.S. because they aren't
Americans -- they are gods."
--Ann Coulter
JOKES OF THE WEEK
From Jay Leno:
For the 2nd time in
the past few days, a new world record has been set in the 100 meter dash. It
was set by Filipino troops fleeing Iraq.
Florida officials
have announced that this November they will allow felons to vote. You
thought Bush stole the election last time. Now he'll be working with pros!
How about Kerry and
Edwards, that little honeymoon there? Did you see them tossing that football
back and forth all week? "Weeee! Weeee! I tell you, it's kind of refreshing
to see two Democrats tossing the pigskin instead of fondling it.
The Democratic
National Committee released its lineup of the politicians speaking at the
convention, and Hillary Clinton was not on the list. Bill told her she
shouldn't feel bad. None of his other women are speaking either.
It was so hot today,
executives from the NAACP tried to meet with President Bush just so they
could get the cold shoulder.
Of course Kerry and
Edwards are traveling around the country with their big "hands across each
other" tour.
Teresa Heinz said on
"60 Minutes Sunday that it was important for her and Elizabeth Edwards to
keep their husband honest. Afterwards Hillary Clinton said "Good luck&...let
me know how that works out.let me know how it's going".
WEB SITE OF THE WEEK
It's very difficult
to understand a presidential candidate's stance on any given subject. The
mass media generally air sound bites that last mere seconds. Complex
subjects require much more time.
Campaign Search
searches different media outlets for relevant information on just about
every topic. You can listen to what Bush and Kerry think about tax reform,
weapons of mass destruction and education.
