KYREPUBLICANS COMMENTARY

- Who Defines the Issues?
by H. B. Elkins

As we get closer to November’s elections, watching the frustration level rise among Democrats is akin to watching a NASCAR race at Martinsville, Richmond or Bristol. You just wonder when someone’s temper is going to reach the boiling point and an explosion results.

- A Changing World
by Ray Whitener

In a prophetic statement issued upon Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's return from pre-World War II Munich Germany, Winston Churchill proclaimed: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war." Only a few years later Londoners would be terrorized by buzz bombs flying toward their native homeland.

- Everybody Is Ignorant, Only On Different Subjects
by Ray Rivera

Talking out of sheer ignorance, swallowing lies and projecting these to others as ironclad truths is sad and foolish. At some point you shake your head in disbelief and realize that your opponent is so blinded and determined not to believe you—despite any evidence produced to counter arguments—that you must walk away to avoid anger. You marvel at your opponent’s stupidity or naiveté and you compassionately pray they’ll someday experience a jarring revelation.
