Entertainment Drunk Society Flourishes in Kentucky Politics

by Jeff “Mario” Smith, Guerilla Reporter

In today’s LEFTington Heraldo-Liberal news rag, there is an AP article celebrating one George Clooney who is currently inhabiting a mansion he owns on Lake Como in Italy. These spoiled liberals in Hollyweird do have it rough, don’t they! If only they understood WHY they have the opportunities they have, thanks to those who sacrificed all so they could enjoy our God-endowed Liberty!

The gist of the article, apparently written by an AP groupie for Clooney, is to tell us what a great guy this second generation wealthy entertainer is, going so far as to give us the “carrying groceries for the old lady” story. What’s next, he has a great car for sale that he only drove on Sundays? Give me a break. I know a boy scout when I see one and George Clooney is no boy scout.

Clooney is a man who, in typical Hollyweird naivety stated, "Bush is a warmonger who wants to invade Iraq.”, and several other outspoken negative statements during a time of war when our nation is sending its best and brightest into harms way, partly so village idiots like Clooney can make movies and use the people’s money to party and live in mansions in socialist Italy. If only he would stay there. But alas, even Clooney, who doesn’t like the United States very much, sure likes to take our money for his b rate movies.

But that isn’t enough for old George. No, he has also brought lots and lots of Hollyweird money into Northern Kentucky as contributions to the campaign of his father, has-been Cincinnati television personality Nick Clooney. Nick is running against a fine American family man, ex-Army Ranger Officer, and West Point graduate Geoff Davis.

Geoff Davis served as an Assault Helicopter Flight Commander in the 82nd Airborne Division, and later ran U.S. Army Aviation Operations for Peace Enforcement between Israel and Egypt. Add this outstanding service for God and country to his fluency in Arabic, his self-built high tech consulting firm success, his service on the Executive Advisory Board of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, his membership on the board of the Regional Court Appointed Special Advocate Association (CASA), which helps kids struggling to deal with problems due to abuse and neglect, and his eight years as a volunteer Chaplain for the Kentucky Corrections Cabinet, you have an extremely qualified individual who wishes to contribute to the betterment of Kentucky, in Congress. I am sure in these times of communist-influenced and communist-backed Arab terror against our nation, Geoff’s skills will be highly useful in the center of our federal government.

Unfortunately, in this entertainment-drunk society of ours, a man who is nothing more than a television personality, and a has-been at that, Nick Clooney, is actually running a tough race against Geoff Davis up there in Northern Kentucky. What is so darned special about sitting in front of a camera and talking? I will never understand the American propensity to worship entertainers.  Add American’s love of being entertained to the Hollyweird Left Coast radical’s dollars being imported into liberal Clooney’s campaign coffers, and you have a situation where the better candidate has to work a lot harder than he should to get into office. It will undoubtedly take a lot of money to beat the liberal entertainment dollar in this particular race, but we must!

And what is it about liberals who complained when President Bush came to town to support Ernie Fletcher’s candidacy for Governor, and complained about Dick Cheney’s visit to support Geoff Davis, yet remain silent about all this radical money from Hollyweird liberals on the Left Coast? I guess the only word for it is hypocrisy, but don’t hold your breath for the media to expose it for they are part of the problem.

I can tell you this. I was in Maysville, KY, my hometown, a town that claims the Clooneys who are actually from Augusta, KY, and heard Nick Clooney speak at a patriotic event last year. When he mentioned “to the ladies in attendance” that his son was “unfortunately” not with him, the response was recognizably cold. I noticed this and took the opportunity to issue a loud “Thank you!”. This is good news, as it appears that people in small town America are none too happy with the likes of George Clooney, and other Hollyweird leftists, denigrating what our Commander in Chief is trying to do in this war against terror. There are a lot of small towns in Northern Kentucky where Cincinnati, OH television personality Nick Clooney is trying to get into office on his name recognition and his support for higher taxes, gun control, abortion, and supporting Hanoi John Fonda Kerry.

In November, Northern Kentuckians have a chance to elect a Veteran, a proven leader, a very successful businessman, and a fine American in Geoff Davis. It is a wonderful opportunity for Kentucky and a chance to tell Hollyweird that we don’t need their money or lack of values in our state. We must send Geoff Davis to Washington and Nick Clooney back into retirement where he belongs. Maybe old Nick can get a job in one of his loudmouth son’s b rate movies so his entertainment-drunk fans can get their fix. Just keep him and his Hollywierd influence out of Kentucky politics please.
