Please join us for our next issue on July 19th! “He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.” -- Thomas Paine, "Common Sense" [1776]
What About The Real Crises? By Theresa Fritz Camoriano We know that the news media love to create “crises”, because that’s what helps sell their products and promote their agendas. As a result, we are treated to a new “crisis” nearly every day. However, after a little investigation or thought, we usually realize that what was touted as a crisis really is not. For example, The Reverend Coleman has discovered a “crisis” in the dress code at Louisville’s new 4th Street Live, saying that requiring people to wear shirts with sleeves was racial discrimination against blacks. THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964: FORTY YEARS BETRAYED
by Rod D. Martin -- "If the Senator can find in Title VII...any language...that an employer
will have to hire on the basis of percentage or quota related to color...I
will start eating the pages...." The Religious Nature of Education by David Sant Most Americans think of education as a value-neutral arena in which children are taught the knowledge and skills they need to function as adults in society. As Christians, we must realize that education is inherently religious. What is education, if not teaching children about the way the world works? But with more than 130,000 U.S. troops remaining in the country, a hand-picked Prime Minister who is a former CIA asset, and U.S. “advisors” running Iraqi ministries well past the changeover to a permanent Iraqi government, this interim government is not “fully sovereign” or representative of Iraqis, says Ivan Eland, Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute, a think tank in Oakland, California. introduce the Libertarian lieutenant governor candidate - his mother, Elaine
Badnarik. Toledo Gets Tough on "Crime" The City of Toledo has some interesting priorities. Murder and forcible rape are double the national average. Robberies are three times the national average. But here's a note for you criminals, don't get caught smoking. (click to read more) From a Marine officer on the Iraqi warfront with Jihadistan... (This is an open letter to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, "Islamic Response," and the rest of the so-called al-Qa'ida "insurgents" in Iraq and elsewhere. We don't have an e-mail address for these swine -- though we are closing in on their snail-mail address, but we are forwarding this letter to Federalist Patriots around the world in the hope you good people will forward it to as many other Patriots as possible to rally prayer and support for our fellow Marine, Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun. Should these al-Qa'ida pigs spill his blood, we want them to rest assured that the contents of this letter will eventually be nailed to their foreheads. Thank you for your assistance.) (click to read more) The Mental State of Our Union by Jonathan David Morris George Bush has got to go. Why am I saying this? Two articles, in particular. The first appeared in the Washington Post on June 16th. The second appeared in World Net Daily on June 21st. When taken together, and looked at in context, they suggest a very frightening future -- a future in which Americans won't be able to say what's on their minds. So I'm saying "George Bush has got to go" now, while I still can. (click to read more) Political Matters by Lady Liberty This past week, I traveled back home for a family event. As most of you know, I decline to fly (and will continue to do so as long as needlessly invasive security measures remain in place). That means I spent two very long days behind the wheel of a rental car with little to do but endure traffic jams on my way through several large cities and listen to the radio. (click to read more)
"President Bush has never said that fetal stem cells cannot be used for research. He said 'federal money' cannot be used to fund such research. If leading scientists believed fetal stem-cell research would prove to be so fruitful in curing Alzheimer's, why is the private money not pouring in hand over fist? Do you realize how many billions a cure for Alzheimer's would be worth, let alone all the other cures some are claiming fetal stem-cell research would lead to? Forget Alzheimer's -- do you know how much middle-aged men would pay for a GENUINE baldness cure?" --Ann Coulter

The Declaration of Independence
“As we celebrate both our country's independence and our individual independence on the Fourth of July, we should never forget that this independence is galling to those who want us to be dependent on them.” -- Thomas Sowell "We live
in an age of science and of abounding accumulation of material things.
These did not create our Declaration. Our Declaration created them. “All must test their own work; then that work, rather than their neighbor’s work, will become a cause for pride. For all must carry their own loads.” -- St. Paul
