"Live each day to the fullest.  Live each day with enthusiasm, optimism and hope.  If you do, I am convinced that your contribution to this wonderful experiment we call America will be profound."

--Ronald Reagan, 1992

Ernie Fletcher, Baxter Avenue, Government Arrogance, Bile Against President Reagan –        By Theresa Fritz Camoriano           1.    Governor Ernie Fletcher – We understand that Kentucky’s Gov. Fletcher made a big splash when he went to Washington to attend President Reagan’s funeral.  He arrived with such power and force that he cleared out the Capitol building!  Now, if only he could wield as much power with Democrats here at home, maybe we could finally pass a state budget and tax reductions!            (click to read more)

Why Shouldn’t Art Williams Pay The Fine?         By John Riley          Art Williams, director of the Metro Air Pollution Control District, and Tom Fitzgerald are bosom buddies who both worked overtime to keep VET (vehicle emissions testing), against the will of the people.  How interesting that, thanks to Art Williams’ failing to do his job after being directed by the Kentucky State Legislature to end the VET, the taxpayers are required to pay a fine, with the money going to Tom Fitzgerald!            (click to read more)

Are Southern Baptists About To Abandon Government Schools?             by Steven Yates         A resolution recently submitted to the Southern Baptist Convention for its annual meeting to be held in Indianapolis on June 15–16 calls on parents in this country’s largest Protestant denomination to pull their children out of government schools, and either homeschool them or send them to private Christian schools.             (click to read more)

Bavarian Landfill has helped the environment as follows:   How do Landfill Gas Energy Projects Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions?    Landfill gas recovery projects provide a highly effective means of reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions from landfills, whether the landfill gas is combusted by flare, electricity generation equipment, or other end use system. By using the otherwise wasted methane contained in the collected landfill gas to generate electricity or directly as a fuel, fossil fuels such as oil and coal are displaced. This displacement of fossil fuels is an environmental benefit, the magnitude of which would depend on the actual amount of electricity generated or landfill gas used.            (click to read more)

WELCOME TO THE NEW DOWNSIZER-DISPATCH, formerly the RCRreport!       Dear DC Downsizers,      Libertarians often wonder, "Why are Americans so _ignorant_ about their liberty? Why can't they see we're losing our country?"             (click to read more)

Reaganomics Won the Day . . . and the legacy lives on.         by Steve Moore (Club for Growth)      My old friend Arthur Laffer, once a chief economic advisor to Ronald Reagan, tells the story of Reagan's first Cabinet meeting as president. The new Cabinet members, ready for their marching orders, had assembled in the West Wing of the White House. Reagan, the seasoned actor, waited for silence in the Cabinet Room. He then stood and said, "Gentlemen and ladies, I hate inflation, I hate taxes, and I hate Communism. Do something about it." He proceeded to walk out of the room.             (click to read more)

Ladies Night of the Living Dead        By Jonathan David Morris        Ladies Night. It's the queen of bar and nightclub promotions, and it's popular nationwide. At the Coastline in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, for example, ladies get in without a cover charge -- and pay less for drinks -- one night a week. It's a good way to get girls to come and enjoy the establishment, and a good way to get guys to come and enjoy the girls            (click to read more)

“Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words: "We the people." "We the people" tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us. "We the people" are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which "We the people" tell the government what it is allowed to do.”

-- Ronald Reagan, "Farewell Address"

“In memory of President Ronald Reagan”

"And whatever else history may say about me when I'm gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears, to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty's lamp guiding your steps and opportunity's arm steadying your way.” – Ronald Reagan

Free State Project

“Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed there are many rewards; if you disgrace yourself you can always write a book.” – Ronald Reagan

“The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.” – Ronald Reagan

“Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.” – Ronald Reagan
