The Libertarian Party of West Virginia will be holding its 2004 state convention on Saturday, July 17th, 2004 in Charleston, WV.
We are tentatively planning a Grassroots Activist School Workshop that will be conducted by the highly recommended Leadership Institute (www.leadershipinstitute.org). The one-day training (9 am - 5 pm) will teach tried and true political know-how for building a strong grassroots political and activist organization. This training will help provide a practical, cohesive strategy that libertarians everywhere can use to grow as a vibrant and viable party.
In order to bring this training to our convention, we must have at least 40 attendees paying $50 each. We need to get a realistic headcount on how many registrants we could get for this Grassroots Activist School by June 1st. If you think you might be interested, please reply immediately to Mike Wilson, the Convention Chair, at mwilson@lpwv.org. Please specify the level of interest you have: 1) definitely attending the convention, 2) possibly attending the convention if [fill in the blank], or 3) curious to know more.
The $50/person cost covers only the convention registration, and does not include meals. For those who have to stay overnight, the convention hotel is giving us discounted rates of $75.00 per night. It may be possible to find cheaper rooms in nearby hotels.
The courses below are in the Leadership Institute's two-day Grassroots School. We would be picking around 5 or more of the following courses for our convention training. Please feel free to email your top 5 picks if you are interested in attending.
