Taxation is Slavery

"The Thirteenth Amendment to the US Constitution,  ratified, Dec 6, 1865, ended slavery in the United States, however the  16th Amendment, Ratified  Feb, 3, 1913, or the Income Tax, started it right back up again", said Donna Mancini, Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Ky.    Taxation of Income rivals involuntary servitude.

"The income tax is by far the most destructive and unfair of all  forms of taxation, because it punishes  success  and rewards  failure. Government should be funded with user fees and voluntary contributions.  The income tax, by giving the federal government " unlimited" amounts of tax  dollars ,allowed the  entry of the  of the present day  massive welfare/ warfare state, we have unfortunately become, states Mancini. Government takes  wealth from the producers and gives it to people who produce nothing. Government itself produces nothing, and can only  stifle  productivity  by stealing from the creative or private  sector and funding the state  machine, which  redistributes the booty to  the friends  and associates  of whatever  political  or  group  is currently in power.

The system is  disgusting and morally repugnant states Mancini. .

Taxation is basically Legalized theft, and Libertarians generally oppose taxation, except for stringently limited purposes as  envisioned by the Founders.  " If we as individuals went to our neighbor and demanded  his money or property , stating that he had more than he needed,  and should SHARE it with   the community, at gunpoint if he would not co-operate,  WE  would be  put in jail !! Why is it OK for Government to  Forcefully  Take money from the person who EARNS it and Give it to someone who does not?

In his First Inaugural address in 1801, Thomas Jefferson is quoted:

"  A wise and frugal government, which shall  restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise  free to regulate their own  pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

AMEN,  President Jefferson !!!

The Libertarian Party  supports the traditional concepts of  individual liberty, personal responsibility, and limited government America was founded upon.

Without economic freedom, no other form of personal  freedom is possible in reality.

Freedom Works!
