Light rail serious safety concern

The Houston light rail system has had 31 accidents so far.
It appears that there have been a number of near misses involving
pedestrians.

As mobile ornaments for the Main Street corridor the rail cars are a
growing nuisance.

In May a number of parallel bus routes will be stopped and the frequency
of rail service doubled.

Will that double the rate of accidents?
