Terror Strikes On
U.S. Routinely Go Unreported

It appears the joke (if it were funny) is on us, or maybe that should be U.S..
Terrorist acts on America’s border with Mexico occur routinely, but they NEVER
get the attention of the national press. Why is this? I cannot fathom the logic
behind this apparent conspiracy to sweep terrorist acts by illegal Mexicans
under the rug.
The latest terrorist attack occurred just days ago in Cochise County, AZ. On
Wednesday, March 17, 2004, while many Americans were celebrating St. Patrick’s
day by wearing green and drinking green beer, Richard Kozak was busy dodging
bullets and escaping an intentionally set fire in his 24 foot travel trailer.
The culprits? Illegal Mexican aliens suspected of drug smuggling.

Mr. Kozak fired upon a truck that was trespassing on his property to supposedly
smuggle drugs into the United States from Mexico. His intention, he said, was to
scare the illegal trespassers off his land. It worked, as the truck retreated
back into Mexico. Unfortunately for Mr. Kozak, about 40 minutes later, the same
truck returned and shot up his home with an AK-47 and 9mm gun. The criminals
also set fire to his trailer.
I applaud the Arizona Daily Star for making this story known to the public. My
question is, why in God’s name is this terrorist activity so hush-hush in the
national media? This is, without a doubt, one of the biggest cover-ups in recent
history. Granted, there were not 3,000+ people killed as in the attacks of
9/11/01 but…TERRORISM IS TERRORISM!
I actually applaud President Bush for what he has done in Afghanistan and Iraq,
but there’s something he seems to be overlooking -- the
United States of America.
What about the terrorist acts happening regularly on our Southern border? What
about the hundreds of thousands of AMERICANS who live on the border who don’t
know whether or when they will become another statistic, another victim of crime
or terrorism committed by any number of the tens of thousands of illegals
skipping merrily into our country?
I would not have any problem at all with the President’s pre-occupation with
protecting Iraq’s borders, IF he showed that he cared about protecting our own.
Unfortunately, I believe I know why this is happening.
I am not an idiot. I realize that it takes a majority of electoral votes for the
President to retain his job. However, I also realize that the reason Mr. Bush is
not addressing this critical issue is because he feels he needs to pander to
Mexicans - both legal and illegal - in order to win the Hispanic voting bloc. In
my opinion, ignoring the terrorist acts being committed by those who enter our
country illegally from Mexico borders on treason.
It is time to put an end to this type of activity! We Americans need to get off
our lazy butts and DEMAND that our ELECTED leaders take swift and relentless
action to protect our citizens. There is no question that the Border Patrol is
stretched to the point that it is impossible for them to man the entire
U.S./Mexican border. We need the military to man the border.
I urge EVERY AMERICAN to contact everybody with any political clout and demand
that they take action. All we need to do is show them, at the voting booth, that
they are in fact disposable. Come on America, let’s put an end to the terrorist
activity that nobody in D.C. seems to care about. If they won’t change it, vote
‘em out!
