Reasons
Why Testing
in N. Kentucky
IS Not Needed !
Using
their own statistical data,
99%
of cars built after 1993 pass the test.
Florida and Minnesota
stop testing without losing Federal Highway dollars.
The
Contract with Envirotest is Unconstitutional and should be stopped today.
A
recent report by the National Academy of Sciences shows that the EPA's
computer models overstated pollution reductions from testing, the actual
science indicate a range from ZERO to 50% (reduction) may have occurred.
University of Denver
study indicates that testing and non testing areas have the same
deterioration rates, in otherwords, non tested cars and tested cars pollute
the same. Then 99% of newer cars pass the air quality standards...so why
test?
EPA
wants to shift to OBD On Board Diagnostic tests, however, recent studies
indicate they are no better than tailpipe tests in cleaning the air, have
higher failure rates which cause consumers needless money and time lost.
Additional studies indicate that 95% of future vehicle air pollution
reductions will come from auto technology, only 5% from I/M testing
programs.
Emission Credits are given to stationary Polluters but not car owners. We
paid for emission control equipment on our cars just like the smokestack
industry paid for scrubbers, so why is the individual property rights denied
him?
Allowing Emission Credits to be controlled in Washington or by some
international company, local and state officials have lost incentives to
keep or attract industry. Why would state leaders willingly do this?
Emission Credits are worth billions and awarded by the EPA, what is the
taxation position of the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet on this issue.
Boone,
Kenton & Campbell Counties are the only 3 counties in kentucky testing.
Cincinnati's pollution credits don't transfer here, just the dirty air. |
