To The Editor:

"Hat's Off" to Mayor Abramson  for  stating  publicly that we can deal with Louisville's pollution problems without the wasteful, fraudulent VET Program.

It sounds like  the Mayor affirmed what we the people have known for years: The REAL sources of Metro Pollution are coming from Industry, vehicles that are not tested anyway, and of course Mother Nature!

As a member of Stop the VET, I feel VERY GOOD , and PROUD, that we were able to help end the wretched VET , for the good of the Community ! I Know that if it were not for the demise of the VET we would not be discussing the Industrial Pollution and the local companies would not be pressured to reduce their emissions, as thet currently are being asked to do !

If  Metro Govenmnment  really wants to improve  air quality for our citizens, and not just satisfy the EPA "Thugs", they  will move heaven and earth to make sure this scourge does not re-appear in any form or fashion in our community.

Also, in my humble opinion , I think Metro Government should publicly HONOR "Stop the VET" for their help in bringing the REAL POLLUTERS to the forefront so we begin to get Cleaner air in the Metro!
