Task Force Omega

Twenty-fifth Annual Lexington St. Patrick's Day Parade, Lexington, KY
Saturday, March 13th, 2004

The " WEARING OF GREEN" will begin at 1300 hours at Main Street and Midland Avenue at the Lexington Heraldo-Liberal newspaper building. Task Force Omega KY and Rolling Thunder KY and Friends will assemble across from the Heraldo-Liberal on Midland Avenue near where Paco's Ladder World was. Please try to wear green to honor our Irish brethren who ask us to come back to this event every year. They are fine hosts.

There will be a prize for the best parade entry. Last year K-BAR won an XL black satin POW MIA jacket which will be presented to him at the begining of this years parade. Although KBAR is not eligible to win again this year, only once every three years so as to spread the wealth, I am sure his cage will again turn heads and make people think about our brothers still held by the communists.

The criteria for the entry prize is:
Must use Green somehow for our Irish brethren.
Must call attention to the POW MIA somehow.
Must be honorable to our cause.
An entry is a marcher, a rider, an auto, or a float.

TASK FORCE OMEGA donated the prize last year and will donate the prize again this year. Thank you TFO.

Please show up early enough so as to cut down on the chaos that is normal when assembling for an event. We will have a prayer and an organizational meeting prior to starting the parade at 1230. So, try to be there between 1215 and 1230. I will be there by 1200. RSVP is not necessary but does help us to plan. Mario, freeourpows@yahoo.com (859) 277-5452 w, (859) 983-4642
