Dear TVC Supporter:
Yesterday's Superbowl half-time show was an outrageous display
of soft-core pornography. The exposure of Janet Jackson's breast in front of
millions of viewers is only one of the sexual outrages committed by MTV's
production.
Viewers-including millions of children-were exposed to crotch
grabbing by P. Diddy, simulated lesbian sex acts, dancing transvestites, and
scantily clad cheerleaders.
TVC issued the following statement to the press about this MTV
event. We are urging you to contact CBS, MTV, and the NFL offices to express
your anger over this pornographic half-time program. Contact information is
included below Mrs. Lafferty's statement.

Did Top CBS
Officials Approve Exposure of Janet Jackson's Breast During Superbowl Halftime
Show?
Statement from Traditional Values Coalition Executive Director Andrea
Lafferty to Sunday's Superbowl Scandal Involving Janet Jackson
Washington, D.C.
"The Traditional Values Coalition is angered but not surprised at the antics
of Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake during the Superbowl half-time program.
"Despite the apologies from the NFL, CBS, and MTV over the exposure of Miss
Jackson's breast during the half-time show, Internet commentator Matt Drudge
is now reporting that his sources say that top officials at CBS approved of
the exposure of her breast as part of the show. Timberlake even sang, "I'll
get you naked before the end of this song" before ripping off her top-exposing
her breast with a solar medallion attached to it.
"If the Drudge Report turns out to be true, we believe that heads should roll
at CBS for exposing millions of children to the pornographic antics of Jackson
and Timberlake.
"The Superbowl is supposed to be a family affair, not a peep show or an MTV
music video featuring half-naked women engaging in mock sex acts with their
male partners.
"The Superbowl is an American institution and should be a safe show for
families to watch. The American people have been betrayed by CBS, MTV, and by
the NFL.
"What rock does the NFL leadership live under? Didn't they know that MTV would
produce a sleazy show?
"Clearly, the NFL fumbled the ball by allowing MTV to produce the half-time
program. MTV is well known for promoting what amounts to soft-core pornography
for its youthful viewers. The NFL now claims it will not use MTV in the future
for its half-time productions, the damage has been done.
"The Jackson family sexual problems apparently extend to Janet Jackson who
seems to suffer from exhibitionist tendencies. Her sick desire to expose her
breast to millions of viewers is evidence of a strange sexual dysfunction.
"Janet Jackson's exhibitionism was not the only obscene part of the half-time
show. We were also exposed to simulated lesbian sex, crotch grabbing by P.
Diddy, and gyrating transvestites. MTV's half-time show would have played well
in an S&M strip bar-not on national TV during a sporting event seen around the
world.
"Justin Timberlake is equally guilty in his attempt to compete with Britney
Spears for outrageous behavior on TV.
"The great tragedy is that millions of unsuspecting children were exposed to
this obscene act. More than apologies are needed from CBS, MTV, and the NFL
leadership."
