David L. Williams

for

United States Senator

2nd District

A retired telephone construction company executive. David resides on Highway 31-E North in Barren County.  He is the father of five, has six grandchildren and two stepsons.  He supports changes in the campaign finance laws; term limits both in the Senate (2 terms) and the Congress (3 terms), supports school prayer, opposes abortion and supports the right to bear arms.

David fully supports the tobacco farmer and would work to help the disabled collect their disability payments.

You may choose your own doctor and have treatment and medical decisions made by a doctor, not by                       an insurance company, accountant, executive, or bureaucrat.

You may expect medical decisions to be made by healthcare providers who are free from "gag rules" that  prevent doctors and nurses from fully explaining treatment options.

Emergency medical services must be covered by basic insurance policies.

Children cannot be denied access to pediatric specialists and children's hospitals.

Women have the right to medically appropriate hospital stays after childbirth and mastectomies and to reconstructive surgery after mastectomies. Woman must also have direct access to OB/GYN providers as their primary care physician.  Basic health insurance must include maternity, including neonatal care to ensure healthy children.

Genetic testing may not be used to deny employment or to have insurance or medical coverage denied or             canceled.

HMO's may be held legally liable for medical decisions just as doctors are held legally liable for medical decisions.

I would like to have all campaign signs to be removed from the roadways by the April 15th deadline.
