As an avid supporter of STOP the VET, I am against the reinstatement of the program in Jeffereson County , for the simple reason that it is a fraud and a scam and does not clean the air!

In reality the VET causes more pollution by giving bogus pollution credits for all the cars tested , which about 93% pass, instead of ONLY giving credits for the ones who fail and are repaired or taken off the road. These false credits allow for more industrial pollution in our community. If you are going to give " credit", Give Credit only where credit is DUE! Cars that fail should be the only cars to receive tradeable credits.

We were beginning to make headway in the area of air quality and exposing the real polluters and working on a plan to correct the problems. Now we are planning to go backwards!

As a community we should be honest about the TRUE causes of pollution and really clean the air that we ALL breathe.

The VET will prevent us trom ever addressing the REAL problems surrounding Metro air pollution. Its a matter of PUBLIC HEALTH !

Members of Stop the VET are more than willing to share their knowledge and ideas for reducing pollution in our community with the Local, State and Federal Government!

We CARE about CLEAN AIR !
