To the Editor:
I find it sadly amusing that Metro Government is preoccupied with controlling
privately owned Adult entertainment businesses ,which are funded voluntarily by
peaceful consenting adults, and banishing them to the far corners of
industrially zoned Louisville, with sauerkraut factories, of all things !!
As a taxpayer I think our government has better things to do than concern itself
with pasties and g-strings, and what adults do in the wee hours of the morning
behind closed doors. "They" say it is for "the children", but kids are not out
at 1 am,or at least they shouldn't be, and can't get into bars anyway. Also, the
amount of money spent on Litigation on all this silliness is disgusting. Just
think of all those REAL criminals to be caught and potholes to be filled.......
As with the smoking ban, I think Louisville is getting quite hostile towards
individuals, and their private property rights, and it seems very likey that if
this trend is not reversed we will not attract many new businesses or residents,
and may run out what we have left!
Government should perform legitimate government tasks, do them well, and stop
micromanaging our lives!
