Title of Steve Moore’s Feb. 4 Speech in Louisville Has Been Changed

We have refined the title for Steve Moore's Feb. 4 lunch presentation in Louisville after reading an article posted at the Cato Institute two days ago concerning advice Steve has given Arnold Schwarzenegger.  (Read the full article: Arnold's New Role.)

Here are two juicy quotes from it:

"In meetings I have had with Arnold (Schwarzenegger), it has become reassuringly clear to me that this governor, like his predecessor of three decades ago, Ronald Reagan, thinks and talks like a supply-sider. He fundamentally understands that restoring growth is the key to restoring budget balance."

We can only hope that this message lands squarely on Gov. Fletcher's desk!  Or this:

"Lew Uhler of the National Tax Limitation Committee has drafted a new spending-limit plan that would hold the growth of the state budget to the rate of population growth and inflation."

Steve will explain how an increasingly popular policy prescription, a "tax and spending constitutional amendment" is being considered and used by Governors across America to tighten the reins of government.

Given Steve's role in the Schwarzenegger administration and his growing influence there, we have retitled our event:

Tax modernization from a free market perspective:

How Gov. Fletcher can grow tax revenues and not raise taxes.

True economic development in Kentucky is about reducing the tax burden on entrepreneurs and existing businesses so they'll come here and stay here.  This kind of environment attracts capital inflows that create jobs, raise property values and will inspire our college graduates to stay home to help reinvent Kentucky.

Don't miss this exciting presentation!
