IS AMERICA BRAIN DEAD?

    Well, the Supreme Court Decision is now in!  TODAY marks a very sad day indeed for our Constitution. Might as well say: What Constitution? 

    Unfortunately, most people only understand this issue from the perspective that is presented by the commercial media companies (network news and newspapers).  The media have skillfully and purposefully not informed the public about the full impact of this law and today's Supreme Court ruling.

    Let me be very clear about one major concept that has been woefully missing from media exposure:

THE SUPREME COURT DECISION TODAY TO UPHOLD THE "BI-PARTISAN CAMPAIGN REFORM ACT" (BCRA) CLEARLY RESTRICTS YOUR FIRST AMENDMENT "FREE PRESS" RIGHTS TO ENGAGE IN EFFORTS TO PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE YOUR POLITICAL OPINION!

    In other words, the US Constitution was effectively AMENDED; however, there was no apparent need according to Congress, the President and TODAY by the US Supreme Court to go through the formal amendment process by which the citizens are asked for their (YOUR) consent.  The US Constitution and MOST IMPORTANTLY the all important First Amendment contained in the BILL OF RIGHTS which guarantee our (YOUR) basic Constitutional 'Free Press" Rights has been completely ignored!

    What was decided TODAY is that from now on First Amendment "Free Press" rights no longer belong to citizens (YOU) and are reserved without restriction to the commercial media companies!  You must be a commercial broadcast or newspaper company in order to enjoy the "free press" rights that were once held by the people.  Congress, the President and now the Supreme Court have decided that we (YOU) should no longer enjoy this Constitutionally protected RIGHT, UNLESS you engage in a commercial media enterprise. 

    In fact, now even FOREIGN OWNED newspapers (currently over 170 in the US) can now enjoy unrestricted First Amendment "free press" rights while it will be considered a criminal offence (enforced by fines and prison terms) for average US citizens and citizens groups to publish and distribute their political opinions within 60 days of an election!

    I sure hope you re-read the last paragraph and truly let it sink in!  This is outrageous!  OUTRAGEOUS!  We currently have young men and women who are serving our country (YOU) all over the globe and specifically in IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN as well as many other places to PROTECT and DEFEND our (YOUR) Country and  Constitutional freedoms, and in far too many cases they do this with their LIFE AND LIMBS!  We at home hope and pray for the safe return of our loved ones and of strangers we have never and likely will never meet.

    And for all this effort and pain, our Constitution has been ignored here at home by the people in the highest and most prominent positions of trust in our government.  All of these people have sworn an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution!  If their "oaths of office" to protect and defend the US Constitution were sincere, then there would be no real need for concern; HOWEVER, their ACTIONS clearly send us (YOU) a message that the US Constitution is of little concern anymore! 

    This is a BLATANT and OUTRAGEOUS violation of their OATHS OF OFFICE and of our (YOUR) YET TO BE AMENDED Constitutional "Free Press" rights!

    I sure hope this raises the hair on the back of your neck and stirs you into action.  If not, you must be completely brain dead and or comatose and I can only wonder - Why should anyone care!  Why have so many people bled and died in the name of protecting our (YOUR) freedom when we (YOU) as US citizens could care less about one of your most basic First Amendment rights much less the rest of the US Constitution?

    Please look into and understand this issue! You must go far beyond the typical nightly news cast and the morning daily newspaper to understand what has just happened in our (YOUR) country!  Lee Greenwood's moving song "God Bless the USA" will forever stir memories of what USED TO BE and what IS NO LONGER!  If we (YOU) do nothing, all of those moving lyrics will ring HOLLOW and all of the PROUDLY displayed American FLAGS will become the icons of STUPIDITY!

    DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN! DO SOMETHING NOW! CALL YOUR Senators, Congressmen and your FAMILY, NEIGHBORS and CO-Workers and ask them to DEFEND the US CONSTITUTION!  Let them know about this issue and let them know that the CONSTITUTION has just been effectively AMENDED without proper consent!

NOW IT IS UP TO US (YOU)! We will now find out if the AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE IN FACT BRAIN DEAD!

Thank you for your attention and time!  I pray you will not sit idle at this most critical time!  If anyone thought that the terrorist acts of September 11, 2001 were a serious threat to our (YOUR) personal and future freedoms, this issue alone reads off the Richter Scale in comparison in the long term security of our (YOUR) Constitutional freedoms!
