Party Almost Over, or is the Supreme
Cork About to Blow?

By John Riley

The United States Supreme Court is only supreme over
federal district courts; however, it is not supreme (in the
context of Webster's definition: highest in rank or
authority) over the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the
United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The
Supreme Cork is ready to blow! Here's why!

According to the founding documents, including the
Declaration of Independence and the United States
Constitution, supreme authority rested with Almighty God
our Creator and with the people or the citizens of the
United States. No court, not even the US Supreme Court, has
the authority to change the Constitution without the
consent of the people.

Although the media has not reported the impact of the
current Supreme Court case of Ron Paul v. FEC regarding the
Bi-Partisan Campaign Reform Act, it is important to
understand that the corporate media and in fact EVEN
FOREIGN OWNED MEDIA COMPAINES are exempt from the Campaign Finance laws. If the US Supreme Court rules to uphold this
clearly unconstitutional law, the "cork" should and will
blow! Under this law, the First Amendment "free press"
rights of average US citizens will be even further
restricted and regulated, and the First Amendment "free
press" rights of US and foreign owned media corporations
will have no restrictions or regulations. Unconstitutional?
Very much so!

Congress and the President are clearly aware of the "media
exemption" and, despite their "oath of office" to protect
and defend the Constitution of the United States , Congress
passed and the President signed into law this absurd piece
of legislation in the name of "campaign reform". The
corporate media are clearly the beneficiaries of this
unconstitutional law, because it bestows superior "free
press" rights (and the ability to influence the outcome of
elections) to media companies, both foreign and domestic
and effectively takes away the "free press" rights of
average citizens under penalty of fines and the threat of
imprisonment if this unconstitutional law is violated. So,
it's not surprising there is little if any media reporting
on it and that you may not know about it. When, in this
whole process, were the US citizens asked for the authority
and when did the citizens grant such authority to change
the First Amendment and effectively give up their "free
press" rights?

The answer is NEVER! So, I ask you, is the party over or
will the Supreme Cork blow? It depends on how the US
Supreme Court rules in this case! Remember, this law is
called the Bi-Partisan Campaign Reform Act (BCRA) which was
passed by Republicans and Democrats. Currently, only
approximately 40% of registered voters go to the polls and
vote. Most of those voters are no longer loyal to their own
party. That leaves 60% of registered voters that
effectively voted "no confidence" in either of the two so
called "major parties" when they decided to just not vote
rather than hold their nose and vote for the "lesser of two
evils". The campaign law restrictions are very simply an
attempt to continue to control the political process
through the Republican and Democrat Parties with the aid of
the corporate owned "press".

People have clearly lost confidence in the election
process. People have clearly lost confidence in the media
and the two "major parties". Many of our Constitutional
Rights and Freedoms are attacked and challenged. However,
it will be clearly crossing the line if the Congress, the
President and now even the US Supreme Court continue to
ignore the Constitution in such a blatant and inexcusable
way. So, if the US Supreme Court strikes down this law, the
end could be near for the strangle hold of the Republican
and Democratic Parties and corporate owned media.

If they uphold this unconstitutional law, the revolution
could well begin. In other words, the Supreme Cork could
blow!

Stay tuned!
