Political attacks on judicial nominees threaten the system - The far more disturbing issue raised by the attacks against Brown, who received a positive rating from the American Bar Association's judicial review committee, is that she is not an "acceptable" African-American. Democrat senators -- presumably inoculated from charges of race-baiting under cover of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's opposition to Brown's nomination -- are free to bully the nominee.
