Dear Metro Council,

I am unclear about what "workplaces" are included in the Smoking Ban Ordinance.
Section two states " ALL workplaces".

Does this mean Churchill Downs, Slugger fIeld, The Fairgrounds, Papa Johns Stadium, Public Buildings such as The Health dept and the Various Government centers..... to name a few?

Also How about Country Clubs and membership only places like the Pendennis Club, the Jefferson Club, The Standard Country Club, Hurstbourne Country Club, etc?

Also , Are Union Halls, VFW'S , American Legions, and Clubhouses in subdivisions etc, included in the Smoking Ban? ( and many others)

I think the ordinance as written is woefully unclear, and the " Public" does not really know who is included or excluded. We need to know the definition of " ALL"......
It appears to me that ALL means everyone, everywhere, because if second hand smoke hurts workers, it hurts them no matter where they work !!

Also, Please explain how this will be enforced. Will the owner of the establishment call the police to issue the citation, or will he write it himself?? How will he deal with his own citation, if he were to write it. Will we hire extra police? What is the cost of
implementing the smoking police? As citizens we need to be informed on these issues.
Sincerely,

Donna Mancini
