What is politically defined as economic "planning" is the forcible superseding of other people's plans by government officials.
-- Thomas Sowell

Street Theater Protest of the Citizens’ Loss of Free Press Rights Under Campaign Finance Laws         This street theater will entertain you while showing the harmful effect of campaign finance laws.  You will see and hear a king and his Herald, representing the Royal Press, while the Federal Election Commission hauls the regular folks off to jail for trying to pass out leaflets promoting their views on abortion, the environment, labor unions, guns, etc.  The Statue of Liberty also will make a guest appearance!          (Click to Read More)

The Freedom Campaign       By George Baumler         An effort has been launched in Louisville to protect small businesses, especially bars and restaurants, from the machinations of the militant anti-smoking fanatics.  Its first meeting held at TK's pub in the cigar room was organized by Jeff Klusmeier, a Republican candidate in the 2002 metro council race.  The meeting outlined the Freedom Campaign's objectives and strategies.  The major goal is to head off a smoking ban, such as the one passed in Lexington, in the Louisville Metro area.  "Such bans are an affront to private businesses" say some supporters of the campaign.          (Click to Read More)

Before Asking The Government To Regulate Private Business, Let’s See How Successfully The Government Regulates Itself         By Theresa Fritz Camoriano        Whenever a private business takes actions that result in injury or death to someone, there is invariably a demand for more government regulation of that business.  But first let’s take a look at how effective the government is in protecting people within its own institutions.          (Click to Read More)

FREEDOM - UP IN SMOKE?       By Terry Gray          Thursday night was the first public meeting of the Louisville Freedom Campaign.  As this coalition was quickly put together, the name is likely temporary.  Nevertheless, I was impressed with the amount of organization that had already gone into the group.  Attorneys are working on finalizing the coalition’s structure.  Jeff Klusmeier, former Chairman of the River City Republican Association and Delegate to the Republican National Convention, led the meeting, which was covered by local television and press.          (Click to Read More)

Brief on free press rights before Supreme Court        Dear freedom fighters,   We did it! The "Common Sense" of legal briefs  has been written. Our attorneys, Bill Olson, Herb Titus, and John Miles (along with the staff at William J. Olson, P.C.) burned the midnight oil to deliver the most candid and powerful legal briefs I've ever read.           (Click to Read More)

More "Takers" Than "Makers"        Grant R. Gulibon         Another Labor Day is upon us, but the organized labor union movement in Pennsylvania has very little to celebrate this year. Union membership in the private sector continues its decades long free-fall, and the bottom is now in sight. At the same time unionized jobs are leaving the Commonwealth, fewer remaining workers are convinced of their need to embrace union representation.           (Click to Read More)

Crime Doesn’t Pay!      By Mike Straw         Crime doesn’t pay -- Except in Boston, New York, Washington D. C., Miami, Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles, and other evil social fascist oligarchies.          (Click to Read More)

“Ninety-eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hardworking, honest Americans. It's the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity. But then, we elected them.” – Lily Tomlin

Free State Project

"The only way to make sure that government doesn't abuse its power is to not grant it in the first place." --Tom DeWeese

“Being a lover of freedom, when the (Nazi) revolution came, I looked to the universities to defend it, knowing that they had always boasted of their devotion to the cause of truth; but no, the universities were immediately silenced. Then I looked to the great editors of the newspapers, whose flaming editorials
in days gone by had proclaimed their love of freedom; but they, like the universities, were silenced in a few short weeks...Only
the Church stood squarely across the path of Hitler's campaign for suppressing truth. I never had any special interest in the Church before, but now I feel a great affection and admiration for it
because the Church alone has had the courage and persistence to
stand for intellectual and moral freedom. I am forced to confess that what I once despised I now praise unreservedly." --Albert Einstein from Kampi und Zeugnis der bekennenden Kirche
